After killing countless people with his Sirí Nejí, a severely injured Bosúnirún resented his actions and wandered into the Desert of Liberation, a place where the sun shone so brightly it dried the moisture from your eyes. He hoped to pass into the afterlife peacefully by cleansing himself of the evil he had done throughout his life. Like many before him, he combed his holy hair, seeking a connection to the heavens.
Desperate for a peaceful passage to the afterlife, he sang the songs of the Nine Holy Combs and combed his hair with an urgency akin to a beast pursuing its prey. His prayers were answered, but the Nine Holy Combs did not appear. Instead, a Sound Monster materialized before him, singing songs of evil and death. This meant the Nine Holy Combs were considering him but did not yet trust his intentions.
He faced a dire choice: transition peacefully to the afterlife or die at the hands of the Sound Monster, reaping the consequences of the suffering he had caused and the sins he had committed against Djé Osá.
A sound emanated from within the Sound Monster's body without its mouth moving. The sound paralyzed him, wrapping him in an invisible, audible shroud. The Monster's otherworldly noise forced the man's mouth open, making him speak involuntarily. The Sound Monster questioned him, and he answered, each response bringing a flicker of hope.
But then, the Sound Monster asked one final question. As soon as he finished answering, the Monster's head expanded and engulfed the man's head in one swift motion.
"This man does not deserve an afterlife," burped the Sound Monster.
