As the girl left the room, Corvus stopped reading and just stared intently at the door she just left.
“Heh…” He let out a huge sigh as he put the book down. “Why does she…” He leaned back on the chair even more. “Remind me of…” He trailed off when something made his ears perk up, there was a weird scratching sound coming from that balcony door. “Oh, for the love of..” Moving to get up, he moved the curtain and he saw that there, standing on the other side, was Ichthys, who was waving at him.
“You do realise that you can come in yourself, right?” Corvus opened the door. “It is open, she doesn't lock it, for some reason.”
“Isn’t that handy?” Icthys mused as he walked in.
“No. No it isn’t, but whatever…” Corvus watched as the other fell backwards onto the bed. “Make yourself at home, why don’t you?”
“Well, you sure have…” Ikky moved himself so that he was leaning on his arm, giving Corvus a rather dirty grin.
“Whatever is wrong with you, please don’t let me catch it!” Corvus grumbled as he returned to the chair.
“Don’t you think that this is rather intriguing, at least?” Ikky moved himself so that he was staring at Corvus, whilst on his stomach.
“You’re irritating…”
“You CAN stand to be nicer to her, y’know. It wouldn’t kill you.”
Corvus ignored that and asked his own question. “That one who is downstairs…”
“Are you a loo?”
“Excuse me?”
“The one downstairs!” Ikky pointed, with his head, towards the door that led downstairs.
Corvus glared at his brother. He knew for a fact that she said ‘Arlo’, and not ‘Are you a loo’. This idiot needs his head checked.
“Well, either way, there is something off about that one.”
“Eh…” Ichthys waved a hand at him. “You worry too much…” He moved so that he was on his back again. “I slept on that sofa last night, but this bed is quite nice.”
“Well, don’t get used to it.”
“Oh? Already claimed the bed, I see.”
“Well, obviously. It’s the softest thing here!” It was then that Corvus noticed that Ikky was giving him another dirty grin.
“Ohhohohoooo…”
That sound pissed him off, and Corvus threw a book, from the desk, directly at Ikky’s face, hitting him square on.
“Ow… What was that for?” He rubbed his nose from where the book had hit him.
“You.”
“You didn’t have to throw that so hard…” He rubbed his nose even more. “Am I bleeding?”
“No, but you will be if you don’t shut up!”
“So mean…” Ikky let out a huge sigh, and rolled over. “I’m taking a nap here. That's ok with you, right?”
“Do what you want, just shut up.”
“Nap it is.”
Corvus heard a light snicker come from the direction of the bed, and he threw another book at Ikky’s back.
“Hey, don't throw books at me when a man is sleeping!”
“If you were sleeping, you would be quiet.”
“Eh, eh…” Ikky waved a hand in the air.
After that, Ichthys didn’t say anything and, as Corvus looked over, he could hear the light sounds of breathing. A weird ‘ability’ of his brothers is that he could fall asleep pretty much instantly. Lucky for some, to have no care in the world to do that. But the words the sleeping one was saying earlier really did get under Corvus’ skin. Was he right? Was he actually right with what he was annoyingly hinting at? Shaking his head, he put it down to being complete nonsense. He made a vow so long ago. But, what threw a spanner into the works is that weird girl really did look like her. But, not only that, but she even acted like her, it was strange. It made no sense. It shouldn’t be possible, not for them. Not at all.
“Complete and utter nonsense…” He grumbled out loud, picking up the book that he was originally pretending to read, and went back to page one. “Two households, both alike in dignity, In fair Verona, where we lay our scene… Hmmmm, intriguing…”
Corvus buried his nose deeper in the book, he wanted a distraction, and this book will do just fine.
