"I seem to like you too, Bailey. Now let us face the real big bad wolf together," Lake said as they stood in front of a big door. Lake felt himself get more nervous than Bailey himself. He dreaded the reaction of the rude alpha inside.

 What if he scares the omega?

What if he disrespect another pack and make them an enemy?? 

He quite like Bailey and hope that the little omega succeed in attracting the attention of the alpha.

"Seeing you so worried makes me nervous. I hope I don't puke," Bailey whispered to himself

At first, he was okay but realising that he was going to meet the alpha he liked and that the latter might break the image he had of him inside his head, he felt a little reluctant.

"It's fine. Feel free to puke wherever you want! That will give the asshole something to do! You know what? Puke on the asshole himself!" Lake said energetically, the scenario seeming very interesting.

"The asshole in question probably heard you. He's an alpha, remember?" Bailey pointed out, and Lake shrugged.

"What's he gonna do, make me sing the ABCs in reverse?".

"Honestly... that's such a good and innovating punishment! Thank you for the idea; I know how to punish people now!" Bailey exclaimed eagerly, and Lake laughed.

"Little guy, if he rejects you, will you be mine instead? Let's show him what he missed," Lake whispered discretely.

"With pleasure, beta Lake!" Bailey replied.

"Sadly, as the rule states, a beta should be paired with a beta or an alpha, but not an omega. All omegas have to be paired with at least an alpha," he said with a fake sigh, and Bailey smiled

"Forbidden romance is more interesting!" Bailey whispered, wiggling his eyebrows making Lake laugh.

"We should hang out sometimes. It's decided, you're my new little brother," Lake announced, patting his chest proudly.

"Tsk, what a downgrade! You bro-zoned me!" Bailey said with a fake sigh.

"Awe, little cutie, don't be sad," Lake cooed.

"Enough of the drama! Now let's head inside; I'm ready to enter the dungeon!" Bailey exclaimed as Lake pushed open the door.

Bailey took a deep breath and stepped forward, unconsciously holding his uncle's hand. The latter smiled softly, squeezing the hand of his cute baby omega.

Deep inside, Jack wanted everyone to reject Bailey so that the little omega could stay with them, in their pack, forever. But at the same time, he wishes for their baby omega to find someone who would love him.

He just hoped that Bailey's mate would take good care of him.

As for Bailey, he knew that the alpha wouldn't choose someone like him. He knew there was nothing special about him but he wanted to try his best

"Hello," Bailey said softly, going to sit on the chair as the alpha's back faced them. The alpha was on his chair, looking out the window, as if they were just another insignificant seller scamming them with a product

Being nervous and dissapointed, the alpha's behaviour got on Bailey's nerve. 

How dare he act like he was above everything else? I tried my best to make a good impression but he doesn't even want to pay attention to my efforts, how frustrating

Years ago, He had fallen in love with the gentle alpha with a pretty smile. He had created a fake image of the alpha in his head which only led to dissapointment.

"Don't be impolite; greet them!" Lake said in a hused tone.

"Hello," the alpha replied in a deep voice, making Bailey's heart suddenly race. 

"So, Alpha Jack, can your omega take care of a pack?" was the first thing the alpha asked, going straight to business, and Bailey frowned when the alpha did not even address him.

"I believe he can," Jack replied, making the alpha chuckle.

"You believe he can? There's a difference between believing you can and actually doing it," he replied, making Bailey frown.

"What exactly is your definition of taking care of a pack? You have to be clear if you want a good answer. Being vague to act superior does not make you anything but stupid" Bailey replied in a controlled tone

He took deep breaths to calm himself down and prevent himself from yelling at the alpha.

The alpha, who was moving his leg, suddenly stopped and became serious.

"Very well. How about breaking up a fight? can you do it?" 

"No, that's the duty of the pack warriors, not mine. If it ever happens that I must break up a fight, then I'll do it with my words. If they don't obey, they should be punished to maintain discipline. As a luna, I have equal rights as the alpha. They should obey me just like they obey you," Bailey replied in an annoyed tone

What the hell were these questions? Why do I feel like I'm in a job interview? Since when was a Luna a job post!?? 

'Break up a fight? One word from me, and they'll be kneeling at my feet, begging for mercy! Of course, I'm not going to forgive them! I'm going to torture them and make them cry until their eyes bleed,' Nameless exclaimed but was cut off by Bailey.

"Not the answer I was searching for," the alpha replied, breaking his thought

"You're not what I expected either, but you don't see me complain," Bailey scowled

The alpha tensed while Bailey sighed, taking a deep breath.

Calm down, calm down....

"You okay, Bailey?" Lake asked in concern, and Bailey smiled softly at him.

"Yes, I am. Thank you for worrying about me! I am just a little pissed off but I completely understand that he feels inferior to show his face. As an alpha, he should be polite and considerate to his guests but his ugly face probably makes him self conscious since he did not bother turn , not even once!! If he wants an omega to look pretty at his side to make up for his appearance, then, I'd rather save myself and run away," Bailey scoffed, crossing his arms 

The alpha being insulted only chuckled , not minding the insults bening thrown at him.

"No one is stopping you from leaving," the alpha replied, and Bailey got up calmly, his fist clenched at his side

"Uncle, can we go now? I don't want a man like him, I can do much better" Bailey said, not even glancing back at the alpha's head

"Of course, little omega. I'm proud of you," Jack said softly, patting Bailey's head.

"Go fuck yourself because with your shitty attitude, Your hand is the only thing you can use," Bailey scowled, immediately walking out of the room.

He grumbled to himself on the way out, rambling about life being unfair and him having bad tastes.

'He's so rude Nameless! I don't like him! I don't like him,' Bailey complained to Nameless, who growled in anger.

'How dare he make my little flower cry? Do you want me to rip his throat out?' Nameless growled in anger.

'No, I am not crying and I do not want anything to do with him,' Bailey replied as his uncle came out of the room.

"I'm sorry, Bailey. I'm really sorry! Our alpha is a piece of shit," Lake apologised, making Bailey smile in thanks

"It's okay, Lake. It just hurt that he isn't the man for whom I fell for," Bailey whispered, and Jack sighed.

"If he ever changes his mind, give him a chance, okay? He may be an asshole, but he is actually a sweet and caring alpha," Lake urged, trying to increase Kairos' good points in Bailey's mind. Although Kairos may have appeared indifferent, Lake knew that the alpha may have had a little interest on the omega.

"I don't doubt it in the slightest. I just wanted to see it for myself, but I guess that I am not that lucky. Bye, Lake. I'm glad to have met you," Bailey replied, walking away in defeat.

Lake sighed and rubbed his head in irritation

He opened the door and locked it before crossing his arms.

""What do you want me to do now, alpha? You have another meeting in an hour. I wonder if I should even bother to receive them" Lake said, unamused at the alpha's behaviour

Kairos finally turned around, amusement written all over his face 

"Did you hear him, Lake? He's so fucking cute! That was so adorable!! Tsk, my hand is all I need? Who says that? I'm so in love, I'm so in love....When can we mate?? I cannot wait for it to happen" Kairos sighed dreamily, still intoxicated by the soft yet authorative tone that  scratched an itch in his heart

 "Uh... I don't understand.. Do you want me to allow the next candidate in?" Lake asked, worried that the alpha just lost his mind 

"No, I don't want a mate anymore, cancel every other proposal....I found the person whom I was looking for, my perfect omega, my idea of a perfect luna" Kairos replied with a chuckle and Lake blinked 

"What?" He asked, still confused at the change in attitude and Kairos smiled softly 

"What if I tell you that I had already chosen Bailey as my mate 3 years ago and...what if I tell you that....his wolf is the demon wolf that everyone thinks I have?"

(1) "Did I do something?" He asked in curiosity, eyes widening when his aunt nodded, crossing her arms

Bailey whined to his wolf who chuckled

"I am not naughty! I am a good boy!" He exclaimed, ignoring his wolf's snickers ( EJFNOLANFEWNW EW)

chapter 4

(1) Bailey nervously wore his pants and a baggy hoodie along with his favourite star chain (BRO. YOU'RE GOING TO REPRESENT YOUR PACK IN A HOODIE!?? Y/N ENTERS THE CHAT. WHERE'S THE MESSY BUN?)

(2) "What a nice welcome" The alpha mocked

"Uncle, be nice!" Bailey scolded and Jack rolled his eyes (PICK ME BEHAVIOUR *ROLLS EYES*)

"Yeah yeah" He mumbled making Bailey giggle

"Hi! I'm Bailey! Thank you for receiving us, we didn't face any trouble! May I just say, this pack is lovely!" Bailey exclaimed and Lake smiled warmly 

(3) Bailey scowled, immediately waking out of the room

He grumbled and crossed his arms, pouting to himself as tears filled his eyes

'he's a meany, Nameless! I don't like him! I don't like him' Bailey whimpered to Nameless who growled in anger (SPEAK YOUR AGE, YOU'RE LITERALLY 21!???)
