At the Main Hall:
Hana Choi, the vocal coach at Infinity Pulse company, stood at the front with a bunch of papers in her hand. As all the trainees entered and settled down, she announced in her strict voice, "Let the final audition begin." One by one, the trainees went on stage and performed their pieces. After careful deliberation, Hana Choi finalized the names and began to announce them.
"1. Joonwoo Park - Main dancer, lead vocalist.
2. Jisoo Lee - Lead dancer, vocalist.
3. Sungmin Park - Lead vocalist, rapper.
4. Hyunjin Kim - Main dancer, sub-vocalist.
5. Yuna Park - Main rapper, vocalist.
6. Daehyun Lee - Lead vocalist, sub-rapper.
7. Nari Cho - Visual, vocalist," she declared. "These are the finalists, and we will have you sign the contracts within a few moments. You all know the rules, and you already know it's a mixed-gender band."
Sungmin Park stood up from his seat and noticed Minjae Kim's eyes, filled with tears as if he had lost everything. Jisoo Lee began to rise to say something, but Joonwoo interrupted and addressed Hana Choi.
"Miss Hana Choi, you said there would be 8 members in the band, and you also forgot to announce the main vocalist's name?" Joonwoo questioned.
Hana Choi looked at Joonwoo with a hint of disdain. "Well, the millionaire gets to choose that, and wait, I haven't completed my speech." She then announced, "The main vocalist and sub-dancer is Minjae Kim."
Minjae's eyes lit up with joy. Hana Choi asked everyone to be in the meeting room within 10 minutes to meet the CEO of Infinity Pulse.
Sungmin hugged Minjae and said, "Congratulations, mate."
Minjae Reveals His Face:
As Minjae Kim finally removed his face mask, revealing his warm, inviting eyes and soft, curly black hair, Jisoo's breath caught in her throat. The room around her seemed to blur and fade as memories from her past life flooded her mind.
Flashback from the Past:
The sun was setting over the serene palace gardens, casting a golden glow on the blooming cherry blossoms. Minji, a noblewoman with a gentle spirit and an enchanting voice, stood by the koi pond, her eyes reflecting a sadness she couldn't voice. She wore a delicate hanbok, its pastel hues mirroring the springtime flowers around her.
Beside her stood a young warrior, his presence strong yet tender. His name was Joonwoo, a brave soldier with a heart full of love for Minji. His dark hair was tied back, and his eyes, though fierce in battle, softened when they rested on her.
"Minji," Joonwoo spoke softly, taking her hand in his. "I promise to protect you, no matter what comes."
Minji looked up at him, her eyes filled with both hope and sorrow. "And I will always be with you, Joonwoo, even if fate separates us."
As they embraced, the world seemed to hold its breath, knowing that their love would transcend time and lifetimes.
Back to the Present:
Jisoo snapped back to the present, her heart pounding. She stared at Minjae Kim, the new trainee standing before her. His eyes, though different in this life, held the same warmth and depth she remembered.
Her mind raced as she tried to compose herself. She had to keep her knowledge a secret, at least for now. Joonwoo might not understand, and the consequences of revealing too much too soon could be disastrous.
Minjae, noticing Jisoo's intense gaze, offered a shy smile. "Hi, I'm Minjae Kim. It's nice to meet you."
Jisoo forced a smile, her heart still reeling from the flood of memories. "Nice to meet you, Minjae," she replied, her voice steady despite the turmoil inside her. "Welcome to Infinity Pulse."
