Eager to fight the man began to run toward the giant. The tree creature stomped the ground making the whole cavern shake and roots began to rise under Asval’s feet. He had to predict and avoid the attacks. He didn’t want to die before lying a hit on the creature’s body.
The training paid off and he was much faster, enough to avoid the attacks. He kicked one of the roots and ripped it out. Using it like a spear he threw it at the creature, aiming for the light that was coming out of the creature’s chest.
The giant blocked the root with its hand. The force of the throw was enough to damage the hand to the extent that the creature had to take the time to heal the wound.
Asval saw that and ran back to pick up more giant roots to throw at the creature. Each second a new root was being thrown. This time it wasn’t about precision but about doing as much damage as he could.
The creature tried to defend itself but in the process both of its arms were left with holes, falling apart. While the creature was regenerating he walked to one of the trees and punched two holes inside it. He stuck his arms inside and pulled the tree out of the ground.
The creature noticed that and focused on regenerating one arm enough to strike the man. Asval threw the giant tree before the creature could lay a hand on him. The monster’s whole hand was reduced to splinters.
The man dashed toward the creature knowing he didn’t have to worry about its attacks as it didn’t have any arms left. He only had to climb up and reach the purple light.
The light suddenly began to move down toward the lower part of the tree's body. At the same time, the giant creature began to fall right at the man. He didn’t have much time to rip off another tree and use it. The giant tree was getting closer to smashing him.
He had to rely partially on the luck, looking for a gap big enough he would be able to go through. Noticing a gap near the place he stood he jumped forward.
The sound of the giant body hitting the ground echoed through the cavern, shaking the whole place. The dust rose and covered most of the area.
Asval was able to survive but wasn’t left unscathed. His left hand was crushed under the tree’s body and he had to pull out the part of the body that was crushed, ripping his hand off in the process.
“Now… Where is this light…” Whispered Asval looking up the tunnel inside the tree’s body. “You’re still in here.”
The man climbed up using only one arm. He was inside the belly of the monster and it had a lot of space inside once he left the tunnel. He was in a wide circular room and and the opposite side there was the purple light he was looking for.
“Here you are! Let’s fucking finish this!” Asval shouted as he ran toward the light, his eyes wide open and smiling menacingly.
Suddenly vines and branches enveloped the light and created a new body. It was shaped like a thin human with the exact height of Asval. On a closer look, it seemed like he was looking at the tree in the shape of himself. He inspected the creature, stunned by its appearance.
“What the fuck is that?” Asval whispered.
Sudden pain in his stomach brought him to the reality. The creature appeared in front of him and sent him flying by punching the man in the stomach. The monster ran up to him while he was still in the air and with a kick from above brought him back to the ground. The blood coming from his mouth splat on the monster’s body.
It was about to punch him in the face and finish him but he open his eyes and lunched his fist before the monster could react. Standing up even more blood came out of his mouth but he stood strong.
“Now you’ve done it… Killing myself won't be a pleasant experience but I have no other choice than to FUICKING MURDER YOU!” Asval shouted as he dashed toward the monster.
Both of them raised their fist for a punch and hit the face of their opponent. It seemed like both attacks had the same force behind them but after that hit Asval’s head began to spin while the creature prepared for another punch.
While the whole world was spinning he began to fall to the ground and by luck, he avoided the monster’s punch. Before he could hit the ground he grabbed the creature’s hand and pulled himself back up. Getting closer to the creature he headbutted it.
“Now I feel better.” He exclaimed.
