Djé||é, a reckless protector of the Comb, was purchasing slaves from the hands of the Skinless leaders in the Land of the Cold, where the wind's breeze touched your skin like the hands of a dead bride. The Skinless were light-skinned people with dark religions and ways that opposed the Will of Djé. They lacked grace and Djé in their skin. Djé||é despised them.

Djé||é was purchasing slaves because he needed more help in cultivating Djé Osá, which fueled the empire’s technology and economy. However, the Skinless refused to sell any more slaves, as their empire’s population was declining and they feared having no one left to rule.

Djé||é was in a hurry to acquire slaves, as he had buyers waiting not only for the slaves but also for the Djé Osá they would produce, and time was running out. Djé||é ordered his men to kidnap Skinless individuals during the night without anyone noticing. Soon enough, they had captured not only the general population of the Land of the Cold but also their leaders, until no Skinless individuals remained in the Land of the Cold. Over time, the culture and empire of the Land of the Cold died off.
