William and James where at a stand still. Their eyes locked at each other, as the remaining students battled on in the background.
"Oh, how I am glad to see you. You know most people thought you were dead, so I thought I could never get my revenge on you." James spoke, his words brimming with excitement.
"I have no idea if I should be sad or disappointed that I am remembered by someone like you." William retorted.
"But I am curious how did you of all people get the role of a teacher? I mean with your history I would have believed that you would be shot as soon as you stepped foot in Elysium." James said.
William gritted his teeth.
James took notice of this. He saw no confidence nor a hint of pride in William. In fact James noticed something else. He saw a worried look on Williams' face. Thats when it clicked.
"Oh my god... They don’t know do they." James said.
"About who you really are."
"Shut it, James." William said coldly.
"No, I don’t think I will. In fact, I think I will just tell them all." James said.
Before James could even utter another word, he was met with a fist clad in ice hitting him straight in the face.
James stumbled back a few steps before regaining his balance.
"Not one word." William spoke in a more threatening tone.
Expecting a sight of fear, William was instead met with a surprised grin.
James rubbed his hand on his temple.
"Ha... You have gone weaker, pup!" James laughed.
Ignoring James, William dashed towards him. His ice covered fists ready for action.
William unleashed a barrage of punches, all precise and calculated, throwing hard blows without being too close to get hit. However, James seemed to take the punches like if they were nothing.
Then, when he saw an opening, James threw a counter kick right in William’s gut.
William heaved as he desperately tried to fill his lungs with air.
"Genesen." William said as he cast a healing spell on himself.
William then rushed in with a high kick of his own. Using it as a faint to spin into a punch. Directly as the punch landed James countered. Hitting William in the jaw.
William steps back and places his hand on his now dislocated jaw. William snaps the jaw back in places as he simultaneously casts another healing spell.
William stood for a moment, planning out his next course of action that would keep the students out of harm’s way.
In the background, the students still taking the test had destroyed one of the last containers containing Angel eyes. Noticing Williams fight with James, some decided to step up.
"Professor!" Hector shouted out as he ran up to him.
"No!" William shot back.
"Focus on your task. I'm just toying around with this guy." William teased.
Hearing this, James spat on the ground in defiance.
"Toying around? From my point of view, it seems like you’re struggling." James argued.
"In fact, I don’t think you can beat me. Thats how much of a difference these three years have done to me." James spat out arrogantly.
Williams' body seemed to twitch as James spoke. Like if James had said something so vile that it humiliated all that William stood for.
"Oh, now he's done it." Sara sighed as she heard James' proud exclamation.
William slowly raised himself, standing tall. With an irritated tone, William ordered his students.
"You who have not yet been placed under a talismans protection, congratulations, you have passed the test. The rest of you, I'm sorry. Now, Sara! Take the students and make sure they are safe."
The students looked around to each other confused. This decision seemingly coming from out of nowhere.
With the students surrendering away from the hanger, the remaining smugglers started to surround William, he sighed and started to pull something out of the inner pocket of his jacket.
William pulled out a deck of cards. He started to silently count the cards until he had just enough for the goons that had now surrounded him.
William then poured yade into the cards and without hesitation he threw the cards on the floor.
"Einfrieren!" William shouted out as the cards hit the ground.
The cards lit up with a faint yellow aura as they scattered towards the surrounding goons. As the cards collided with the smugglers, their bodies became frozen solid. Leaving only a ring of ice sculptures.
As James became focused on his now frozen colleagues, William took the moment to dash towards him. William clenched his frozen fists and sucker punched him straight in the face. The ice around his hand shattered on impact.
James stumbled back, William twisted his body and prepared an axe kick.
"Fuego." William muttered as his foot lit ablaze.
With his now burning foot, William Kicked down and hit James on top his skull.
"Come on, tell me. Tell me how weak I have become you second rate shoe licker." Willam spat.
Meanwhile outside of the hanger the students stood by Sara as they watched their teacher fight.
"Did he say he knew the professor?" Nadia asked Hector confused.
"I think so." Hector responded.
"Do you know miss Sara?" Nadia asked.
Sara shook her head.
They continued to watch from the sidelines as William and James battle became more intense.
"Wow, what got the professor so riled up?" Jimmy asked exhausted from using his personal ability so much.
"No clue." Hector said.
"That man hurt his ego." Sara jumped in.
The students looked at her with a variety of confused expressions.
Sara sighed and started to explain.
"Your professor is quite the egocentric moron. For as long as I have known him that has been one of his defining traits. He proclaims himself to be better than most by saying he is a genius."
"Now one of the things your professor loves the most is proving people wrong. For example, if some ginger in a suit would start to proclaim that there zero chance for William to beat him, then William will do anything, and I mean anything, to prove him wrong." Sara explained.
"No matter how much time it takes, how much blood. He will prove him wrong."
"So that’s what’s happening now?" Ophelia asked.
Sara only nodded.
"However, William has gn weaker so it might be more draining on him then it would be normally." Sara explained.
Back to the fight Willaim stood tall looking down at James.
"What’s up James?" William said mockingly.
"I thought you said I had no chance of beating you!" William hissed.
"Shut up pup!" James roared, as he stumbled back to his feet.
"You insist on calling me that when in reality it's you who is miss Sophia's little guard dog." William retorted.
"Puppy, go there, puppy do this, puppy sell that, puppy don't buy that." William mocked, speaking in a high pitch to mimic a woman’s voice.
"Maybe you even need her permission to take a piss." William continued.
James roared as he ran towards William. His fist clenched and prepared to strike. William ducked under his first hit and used his arms to block the second and threw a counter after the third punch.
James screamed once more and stretched out his hand.
"Ουράνιος αντίκτυπος (Ouránios antíktypos)" James roared as his palm glowed a bright yellow.
James clenched his glowing fist and at the same time William, felt an invisible force grab hold of him. Squeezing him, making sure he can’t get away. For above him a golden palm had materialized and ready to strike him.
"Πτώση (Ptósi)" James commanded the golden palm.
With his command the palm fell down. Yet William seemed not to care about the rapidly falling palm.
"Hmm... Which to choose..." William thought.
As the palm where mere inches from William he still didn’t seem to care about this life threatening situation. In fact, he stared at James with a bored expression. Almost disappointed that this was an actual plan to kill him.
"Room." William said, his voice bored and monotone.
Golden lines formed a rectangle that covered William completely. So, when the golden palm was supposed to crush William, it instead vanished into thin air as it entered the ani magic space created by William.
"You know James, I really can’t understand you. You seem to be smart enough to understand this type of work, but you can’t seem to grasp that Sophia will never look at you the way you look at her." William said, with a mocking grin.
"I'll fucking kill you wolf!" James roared as he ran up and sucker punched William right between the eyes.
William quickly regains his composure.
"Prove it."
James overflows with yade as he activates his personal ability.
"[Gwarchodwr nefol]"
James body contorted and grew. Yade overflowed in his hands, and it twisted his hands to form big hammer heads. From his arms and along his back grew sharp spikes made completely out of yade.
Seeing this William prepared a spell of his own.
"Híbrido: lobo" Willaim cast as the rampaging James dashed towards him.
Williams hands became more beast like, and his nails grew to sharp claws. His teeth grew sharper, and his eyes became more focused.
As James got close to William, he raised his hammer hand and slammed down towards William.
Reacting quickly, William dashed into James to get out of the way and slashed at James body with his now claw like hands. Slashing open James’ suit and skin.
However, with each blow William made to James’ suit, it quickly fixed itself as if nothing happened.
From the perspective of the students this looked more like two wild animals fighting to survive than two men battling over who the stronger one is.
Blood got spilled and as William slashed more and more at James open skin. Whilst James broke bone after bone with his hammer like fists.
Eventually William gathered distance from James seeing that if it were to continue like this he wouldn’t win.
He gathered his breath as he let go of his spell. James however wasn’t gonna spare William a second to breathe. He rushed towards him again, running like a wild beast.
Thinking quickly Willaim took out his small chained book and tore out a page. He focused as much yade as he could into the page and read it our loud.
"Excalibur."
The small paper in his hand glowed bright as it twisted itself and formed a sword. An elegant sword with a beautiful blade that was covered in golden lines. William held the swords pristine blue pommel and lifted it high.
He positioned himself to line up perfectly with James left arm, and as James came closer, he swung the sword down. Causing a divide between James and his left arm, as it flew further and further away from him.
The pain surged through James as William had cut of his arm. He lost focus and stumbled to the ground, his momentum causing him to tumble towards the hanger wall.
James felt that something was wrong.
"How... How did he destroy the suit. he can’t possibly have..." James thought.
"Since when where you able to use origami to create artifact weapons?! You asshole!" James exclaimed in a mixture of pain and anger.
"For a while. Just takes a lot of yade. But don’t worry. I have enough to spare." William said as he stumbled towards James.
"Is that Excalibur?" Ophelia asked confused.
"Like from the legends?" Hector asked.
"It's more like the legends are aspired from those weapons. They are old magical weapons that fall under the category of artifact weapons." Nadia explained.
"Artifacts are objects made from yade and have different abilities." Jimmy whispered, seeing Hectors confused look
"That one is Excalibur. It's very powerful since it has a passive ability that nulls other artifacts abilities. But also has some pretty devastating attacks." Nadia continued.
James groaned as the artifact suit, he was wearing lost its effect and all the damage it had absorbed was now distributed on to him.
"You planned this didn’t you. You could have created Excalibur whenever you wanted, but instead you decided to overflow it with damage. Clever." James muttered, now exhausted form the pain.
He struggled to move for every inch of his body screamed at him when he did. It had even become a pain to breath.
William sluggishly moved up to James and lifted the sword. He then slowly pushed down the sword into James’ stomach, causing him to scream in pain.
"Sara, take the students back. I'll get what we need from him." William said.
"I thought this was their test. Shouldn’t they be the one to gather the information?" Sara retorted.
William only looked at her, the two of them sharing the same expression of understanding.
"Fine then." Sara said heading back to the students.
As the students and sara walked back they eventually disappeared in the maze of hangars.
"Now..." William said, tightening his grip on the sword.
"You will tell me what I want. If you lie, then I will claw it out of that brain of yours." Willaim said, threateningly.
James simply laughed at the situation, realizing he had no way out.
"Sure." he said quietly.
"Why is the hand spreading a deadly drug to Elysium?" Willaim asked.
"Because we got paid to." James answered.
"Who paid you?"
"The big man... The ISC."
"Why is the ISC working with the hand?" William asked, intrigued.
"They offered us a deal. One that would satisfy lady Sophias dream. One that would let her have the world in her palm." James answered, his voice raspy.
"Why target Elysium? Why now? I know they stand against each other, but I thought they had gained a truce." William asked.
"ISC is no longer willing to have risks like Elysium go around free. So, they asked us to take away their opposition."
"With angel eyes?"
James gave a nod.
"What is angel eyes?" William asked worried.
"Basically, an upgraded version of Metamorphosis. Take one pill and you will see what your heart craves most. And after one pill, the effect will kick in. And you will do anything to get more of the drug until you eventually stay in that dream. Basically, you'll be brain dead."
"But the crowns made sure to eradicate any source of metamorphosis." William said.
"Apparently the ISC had some stored away, and they decided to recreate it. Upgrade it. Make it their weapon." James explained.
Metamorphosis was a drug created by a gang called Arrival. The drug instantly killed the brain and locked the user in an endless nightmare. Whilst the mind was gone the body was controlled by Arrival to do whatever they wanted.
William stood quiet for a moment. Processing all of this.
"They plan to first take out Elysium and then they plan to erase the island of Nostradamus completely.
"How many more bases like this do you have on the island?" William sked.
"None. This is the only one. But we do have some very good chefs. Some don't even know what Ingredients they cook with." James laughed.
Williams eyes widened as he realized what he meant.
"Is that all you needed?" James asked.
"Yes. Now, I promise you, this won’t be painless." William said has he tightened his grip on the sword.
"Excalibur. Bloom"
From the sword a bright yellow light covered all as all that could be heard was the pined screams of James as his body disintegrated into ash.
The sword crumbled in William’s hand. Not wanting to wait, he took out his phone and quickly dialed Daniels number.
"Yes?" Daniel said answering.
"It's in the food and water, Make sure no student or teacher takes anything from the cafeteria. I think we have a mole." William explained.
