Lee stood there between the two dead men unable to move. Eventually Cypress turned and raised an eyebrow at him. Don't tell me I scared you off now he said grinning. They're dead Lee said still not moving. No I'm sure they're just sleeping Cypress said smiling sarcasm dripping from his words. Lee still didn't move. Cypress scowled as he came back over and grabbed Lee's hand to lead him. They walked in silence till they found a spot to sleep. Cypress laid down in the grass while Lee sat knees to his chest almost ten feet away. After a several minutes Lee spoke up. I don't think you're a monster just because you look different or have different abilities Lee said. Cypress's eyes widened surprised. I think you're a monster because of your lack of remorse and empathy Lee said angrily. Cypress's surprise turned to frustration. Says the boy who's mother is the same way towards me Cypress retorted. So you only pity yourself Lee asked flatly. Stop Cypress said gritting his teeth in anger. You can kill others without even so much as a tear Lee growled but just because you got a couple scars you suddenly throw a tantrum. Shut up Cypress said biting his tongue and trying not to start screaming. You haven't even have that hard of a life Lee said but you still act like everyone else is meaningless and the world only revolves around you. Cypress stood up and walked over to Lee. He sat down in front of him and took his head in his hands. Please please stop talking about things you don't even know Cypress whispered the world doesn't revolve around me it wants to kill me. Lee didn't know why but he couldn't move away from Cypress's bright turquoise eyes as he listened. The immortal boy who is born to die Cypress whispered that's all I am. Immortal Lee echoed. Lee how many years old do you think I am Cypress asked. I thought you were nineteen Lee said. Physically yes Cypress said but I've been here for more than three hundred years. What are you Lee breathed. A god Cypress whispered. Lee stared in wonder then shook his head. Gods and Goddesses don't exist he said, besides there's no way you could be a god you're lying. Cypress looked offended. Fine then he sighed standing up don't believe me. He walked away and laid down in the grass.
In a world where supernatural beings are exterminated or experimented on, a human unwillingly teams up with a strange creature who claims he's a god.
(minimal punctuation, btw the first half of this novel is very old it gets better, pls excuse the typos, most of the mature episodes are either for blood or strong language)
