Path of Dominance
The Sun hung low in the sky reflecting its evening beauty upon a wretched scene. A soft haze of red hung over the battlefield, corpses littered grass once green, and beasts of every shape feasted on those very corpses.
One man stood amidst the chaos and violence, draped in a cloak woven of the very night sky itself, his stature towering above the fallen.
The man let out a loud whistle as he lifted a spear against his shoulder.
Its black handle was stained ever-so-slightly with red, its tip of silver as bright as the stars of the night rested drenched in crimson.
Right before the tip manifested a flag, its silken weave almost made of starlight, bordered in bold red lines.
The symbol at the head of the flag was a polished deer skull, adorned with a jagged crown of bone and iron.
The man walked his way to the tallest hill, walking over the corpses of his foes as if they were dirt.
From the peak he looked around at the field of red and let out a sigh that crackled like paper.
He plunged the bottom of his spear into the ground, piercing the armoured body of a knight.
A helicopter hovered overhead, its spotlight fixed on the man.
“Take heed, former people of Poland,” The man announced with a voice like grinding steel.
“I will give your remaining leaders twenty four hours to leave, before I march on Warsaw!” His voice roared across the bloodsoaked Masovian Plains, and he announced his dominance. “If you have not left by that time, I will kill every single person in the city!”
The Helicopter shook slightly, before focusing once more on the man.
“I take this land in the name of the Kingdom of Beasts! This is Alkerion now!” He roared, and with his announcement his beasts followed suit, filling the air with the horrifying symphony of thousands of beasts
“Now,” He sighed, “Kill the spectators.”
With his command the beasts went wild, leaping at the helicopter, several of them easily the same size and dragging it down to the ground.
The beasts ripped the inhabitants of the helicopter apart, pilots and cameramen alike. The man stood and watched as his flag waved behind him.
That was the Flag of the Kingdom of Alkerion.
It was his flag.
The symbol of the Beast King…
