"why did you choose me for Bailey?"

After the bodies of the four were unmoving, the wolf regained his human form, the soul of Bailey still asleep.

He was panting and breathing hard, his hands trembling slightly because his human's body was frail

"I want to see who will miss you" He mumbled to himself and just at that moment, a man with dark black hair made his appearance.

His eyes were wide in shock and he was shaking when he saw the dead, decapitated bodies on the ground.

"Hello there" Nameless said in Bailey's body and the man froze

"B-Bailey?" He questioned in disbelief and Nameless chuckled 

"Second born Alpha Jack, nice to meet you. I am what people call....the demon wolf and as from today, I want you to look after Bailey. I promised him a good life and I know it's going to be possible with you." Nameless explained and Jack frowned

"I-I don't understand. Y-you killed them?" Jack asked for a confirmation and Nameless nodded in amusement

"Yes I did, what are you going to do about it?" Nameless asked darkly and the alpha's knees gave up. He fell on the grass, knees first and stared at his hands

"F-Finally.... They're finally dead. They're all dead" He whispered

At that moment, pack warriors started rushing, shocked at the scene they just witnessed.

Deep inside, no one wanted to admit that they felt relieved on seeing the body of the four monsters

"I-I'm scared! Uncle, what happened to daddy and mommy?" Nameless whimpered, fake tears filling his eyes

"Second Alpha Jack, what happened?" The lead warrior asked and the alpha clenched his teeth

"Last night, they did not return back. They were heavily drunk and I heard them say that they were going to swim in the river. This morning, when I went to check on Bailey, he said that he couldn't find his parents so, I just brought him here with me....only to find out that they had been killed" Jack lied, walking to pick Bailey up

"I'm sorry baby, we couldn't save your daddy and mommy" Jack whispered and Nameless buried his face in his neck

"Second alpha Jack, our Alpha died in your pack! Explain yourself!" The lead Warrior of Blackmoon pack, the one who accompanied their alphas said coldly and Jack repeated what he said

"How do I know you're not lying? What if you killed them to take your brothers' position?" He asked

"I can confirm it. I heard it too! Last night..they were drunk and were laughing loudly as they walked to the river. The alpha was with me and we were playing cards. We stayed up the whole night! As the lead warrior yourself, you know how much the alpha trust us! We will never betray our alpha so, I hope you believe my words"  The lead warrior of Redmoon pack lied

"I was with them too" Another guard shouted

"I was outside, guarding the room of Bailey. He slept the whole night and I indeed saw the four walk towards the river. I tried to stop them but the alpha ordered me not to" The second leader of Redmoon pack said

Nameless must admit but he was impressed at everyone trying to cover for Bailey and Jack.

"Alpha to be Kairos, what do you say about this situation?" The lead warrior of Blackmoon pack asked, curious about what the son would say and Nameless watched the boy intently

"If they say it was a rogue, then it was a rogue. No wolves in a pack can be that cruel to them. I would like some time alone with them, please" The 15-year-old said without a hint of emotion and the warriors bowed their head

"As you wish, Alpha" They said and in respect for the future alpha, everyone including Redmoon pack moved far, their back facing the alpha so that they didn't see their intimate moment

However, Nameless, who was still in Jack's arm watched as the alpha walked towards the dead body of his parents without any emotions

The alpha kneeled down and smiled without humour at the body of his first dad

"Pathetic" Kairos mumbled, intriguing Nameless who was the only one who heard it since his vision and hearing was 10 times better than regular wolves

Kairos then turned to his second dad, no emotion present

"Rest in peace...or burn in hell, I don't care about you" He said before getting up. Kairos smiled again, tears rolling down his cheeks

"I'm so fucking sad...and angry why did you die!? Why!? You're pathetics, why did you die, you weaklings! WHY COULDN'T IT HAVE BEEN ME!?" He yelled loudly, so much pain evident in his voice making Nameless frown. His feelings were real.. He was genuinely grieving for them? What's the sudden change in emotion?

Nameless thought until the wolf found what Kairos really desired

'I wanted to kill you myself.....I wanted to be the one to tear your hearts apart! Why couldn't it have been me!? Why couldn't your death have been in my hands, why?'

The alpha repeatedly yelled in his head and Nameless smiled in understanding

That's it.... You're perfect for Bailey, both abused to the point they wished they were dead.

Nameless was originally an angel wolf so, he wanted them to find their happiness.

He wanted them to be together and he knew that they would make the perfect pair!

They're going to be each other's mate and I'm going to make that happen

"I'm just a matchmaker, you were the one fell for each other. I never played with your feelings nor did I use magic to force you to like each other. I just gave you both the proper setting, that's all. You were the one who chose each other so, don't ever question your love" Nameless explained before disappearing, leaving the two alone to talk

"Now that you know the whole truth, you can decide what you want" Bailey whispered and Kairos smiled

"It's a bit hard to answer that" Kairos said and Bailey nodded, looking at his fingers

"I understand" He replied softly and Kairos sighed, staring at the lake in front

"I don't hate you, Bailey. It's just that, even though I'm an alpha and I'm supposed to be strong.... I'm human too, you know? It's a bit hard for me. We're going to spend our life together so, I don't think we should rush things. Now that you know I'm not mad at you, now that there's no secret between us.... Let's start again" Kairos suggested and Bailey slowly looked at Kairos with furrowed brows

"Start again?" Bailey asked and Kairos nodded

"Yeah.. Start again! What? You think I was going to be dramatic and say 'let's meet other people to see if our love was real. If we really love each other.. We're going to get back together bla bla bullshit" Kairos scoffed in annoyance and Bailey laughed, bending forward to play with the water 

"I know that our love is real. I just think that maybe, it's too soon for us to just mate and marry each other or something. Want to get to know me better first?" Kairos asked

If kairos was to ask for Bailey's hand for a mating proposal, it should be done within a week as per traditions.So, he wants to take their time before really proposing to him

"Yes. I think the reason I was hesitating this whole week was because I wasn't ready to go away from this pack with someone I don't know anything about." Bailey answered

"Let's confirm... I choose you as my mate and you're now my boyfriend, are you okay with that?" Kairos asked and Bailey rolled his eyes.

"Tsk, Where's your charm? That's not how you ask someone to be your boyfriend!" Bailey complained, looking at Kairos with a judgemental gaze making the alpha snort

"It's an offer you're not going to get again! So, are you my boyfriend or not?" Kairos asked and Bailey rolled his eyes in turn

"No, keep your offer to yourself. Let's see who date your stupid ass" He replied in annoyance

Kairos laughed, getting up to pat his knees

"Alright alright, sorry little omega. Come on, let's head back, boyfriend of mine" Kairos said, stretching his hand to pull Bailey up

"But I didn't agree!" Bailey replied and Kairos smiled, holding Bailey's hand tight

"Too bad, you're my boyfriend now" Kairos teased

"Alright alright, I give my consent" Bailey replied

"Sweet" Kairos exclaimed, pecking Bailey's cheeks

"Let's go swim in the river tomorrow?" Bailey asked

"Sure! No sex though, naughty omega" Kairos teased and Bailey sighed in fake dissapointement

"Tsk, you totally ruined my plan" He replied and Kairos laughed

This omega I tell you!

Kairos wasn't lying when he said that he wasn't angry at Bailey.

He knew that Bailey was only 10 and indeed, he wanted to get rid of his parents himself

Everyone thought that his parents were just strict to him because he was a future alpha but being strict didn't mean to whip him 10 times every single day when he would fall asleep. 

Being strict didn't mean to have a bucket of cold water thrown on him randomly every morning for little Kairos to wake up.

His dads weren't mean, they were monsters. Kairos didn't necessarily hate his omega dad because he knew that his alpha dad was manipulating him.

But Kairos couldn't forgive the omega for not caring about him

Whenever Kairos cried, his papa didn't do anything. He was eagerly sitting on the alpha's lap, his face on the alpha's shoulder while Kairos was kneeling on the rough ground, his hand behind his back as a punishment.

Kairos didn't want to be like his father and deep down, he knew that he didn't have the guts to actually kill his parents

Deep down, he was a bit relieved that someone else killed his parents

After all, it wasn't as easy as everyone thought, it wasn't easy for him to go against his parents.

His omega dad was treated like a property and was made to believe that he only existed for the alpha's entertainment.

Having been mated with an abusive alpha for 7 years before the birth of Kairos, Kairos knew that he couldn't entirely blame his omega dad for not being a good parent.

That's why, instead of hating on omegas, he hated the person who were responsible for an omega to be turn out his dad.

He just wasn't prepared for Bailey to have been the one to kill his parents

But, Kairos didn't want to allow anyone to steal Bailey while he was still accepting that his lover killed the people he wanted to kill.

The best he could do was to take his time and learn more about his omega so that something like that never happen again

He wants to know everything about his lover and he wants Bailey to know his personality too

Just like now, Bailey was scared that Kairos was going to hate him

Kairos wanted to slowly make Bailey understand that he would treat him well. He wanted to show the omega that he will be a loving alpha unlike his dad

Kairos was certain, he would try his best to keep his mate happy
