After meeting with the pack members, Kairos brought Bailey to their room.

"This is our temporary room" Kairos informed and Bailey nodded, looking around

"Wait...temporary?" Bailey asked in confusion and Kairos nodded

"Yes! Since the room will belong to us two, you have the right to choose the bed, floor and furniture" Kairos explained and Bailey smiled in adoration, touched at how considerate the alpha was

"Really? Thank you! I don't like your room, it's dull and boring" Bailey teased and Kairos chuckled, wrapping his arms around Bailey's waist

"Hmmm, am I a boring man though?" He whispered into Bailey's ears and Bailey nodded

"Yup! Lake says that you stay in the office 3/4 of the time! You also don't play with your pack" Bailey pointed out and Kairos frowned

"Why should I play with the pack?" He asked in confusion and Bailey sighed in defeat

"The kids, you dummy!" 

"Ohhh, them! I play with the kids, don't worry" He reassured

"Why do you sound like a pedo?" Bailey questioned and Kairos sighed

"Sadly, this is the second time I've been told this. The first time was unsurprisingly with Lake" Kairos complained and Bailey chuckled

"Silly alpha!"

"Bully omega" Kairos retorted back and Bailey grinned

"Awe sorry! Want a kiss, alpha?" Bailey asked sweetly, opening his arms and the alpha nodded. He dropped on his knees so that his head reached Bailey's chest before hugging his waist

"A big one" Kairos mumbled and Bailey played with his hair

"You're such a big baby, aren't you?" Bailey cooed and Kairos nodded, his eyes closed

"Hmmm, your big baby" He mumbled, loving the way Bailey's hand felt on his head

Such a sweet alpha!

Bailey thought in amusement, pecking Kairos on top of his head

"Have alphas always been such babies?" Bailey asked

"I don't know" Kairos mumbled and Bailey felt like teasing him;

"Such a sweet pup, aren't you?" Bailey cooed and Kairos opened his eyes, looking at Bailey with his chin on his chest

His expression resembled that of a cute, pissed off little pup

"Not a pup! I'm an alpha" He scowled, as if he was just insulted.

"Sure sure, puppy alpha! Says the baby who is on his knees for pampers" Bailey teased before letting out a yelp when Kairos suddenly lifted him up, throwing him over his shoulder

"Put me down!" Bailey shrieked and Kairos laughed, patting Bailey's bum

"Nope, look at how squishy it is!" Kairos exclaimed, squeezing one of Bailey's ass cheeks making the omega giggle

Kairos grinned and continued to pat the omega's squishy ass, loving the giggles Bailey let out whenever he would 'accidentally' poke his hips

"Put me down and stop touching" Bailey complained after having laughed enough and Kairos gently pated his ass.

"No, I don't want to" He complained and Bailey frowned before an idea crossed his mind.

Since he was over Kairos' shoulder, his face was on his back and his hand would certainly reach Kairos' butt!

"I don't play fair!" Bailey exclaimed before slapping one of Kairos flat ass ; hard

"Fuck, that hurts!" Kairos hissed and Bailey laughed

"I know!! Now, put me down or I'll slap it again! Don't ever think of slapping mine Kairos, remember that I'll be the one to suck your dick in the future! I may accidentally bite you-"

"Alright alright, You win!" Kairos exclaimed in defeat, placing Bailey down on the floor before kissing him softly

"Hm, I already feel less lonely with a mate like you. Where have you been all my life?" Kairos mumbled, squishing Bailey's face cheeks with his palm making the omega let out a threatening growl

Bailey pushed Kairos' hand away, rubbing his red cheeks

"Don't do that! You can squish my butt but not my face! It hurts and it turns red" Bailey whined and Kairos smirked, cupping Bailey's ass cheeks

"I wonder how red this turns into" He teased and just at that moment, there was a knock on the door

"Sorry to disturb you love birds but we need to eat. We're having dinner early for Bailey to introduce himself to some pack members" Lake explained and Bailey sighed in relief

"Saved by the door!" Bailey exclaimed and Kairos narrowed his eyes

"Mean omega" He muttered and Bailey pecked his nose

"I know pup, let's go, I'm hungry!" Bailey exclaimed, taking Kairos' hand in his

"Alright, want me to pick you up, bridal style?" Kairos asked and Bailey rolled his eyes

"No, I have legs!!" Bailey said in disgust and Kairos patted his head 

"Alright alright little cutie, let's go"

As soon as they stepped into the kitchen, the noisy room became silent. Everyone got up and bowed their head while Bailey silently assessed their behaviour in his mind. 

"Hello, my name is Bailey and I am your new Luna. I am very pleased to meet you today" Bailey greeted politely, trying to hide his nervousness with Nameless' support. The pack greeted him back and they all sat at their respective place, including Kairos and Bailey. 

Lake gave Bailey an encouraging smile which then dispelled his distress

"As you all know, I have finally chosen a mate, your new luna, anyone having an objection against my mate can voice out their opinion" Kairos informed and some raised their hand. Bailey knew that they have nothing personal against him. They were probably jugding him based on his appearance but he did not pay mind to them

"Since it's a pack and you have freedom of speech, can anyone explain their problem with me?" Bailey asked and the women who had raised their hands started discussing among themselves. A girl then got up among them, readjusting her glasses

"It's not that we have any grudge against you, Luna. We were just curious about your strength. We are aware of the criteria for being the Luna and we want to know why we lost to you. Please don't be offended, we just think that we deserve to know why we were not chosen instead" She explained nervously and Baiely nodded in realisation. This girl had a good way of speaking and since everything she said made sense, Bailey was not offended.

"The first point where you lost is that you are a pack member. The alpha cannot choose a Luna from his own pack. Only one of you all will be chosen, only one of you will he happy while the rest will be humilated and resentful. It is rather unfair. Choosing from another pack makes all of you united and you would never fight among each other. Tell me, pretty miss, do you think that you could have answered on the behalf of everyone if one of you were the luna? Do you think you could have been as respectful as you currently are?" Bailey answered calmly making the women look at themselves. Although Kairos could defend Bailey, he knew that it was time for Bailey to prove his worth. So, he dare not interphere

"The second and most important part is very obvious; we are wolves, we chose mate for life. The alpha is not only choosing a luna, he is also choosing a mate. How is he going to lead the pack with a mate he does not like. You may be competent, don't get me wrong but, he will never be able to like anyone as much as he likes me. This is where you lost. I am not being disrespectful but this fact will never change; Kairos did not intend to make any you his mate." As he finished, the noisy room suddenly became silent. 

Kairos felt so proud at how his mate handled the situation. As for Lake, well, he was really shocked. He had never thought of the reason why most pack alphas choose mates from other packs until now. In fact, neither did the pack think about it. While the women were still a bit resentful at not being chosen, they could not help but accept these reasons. The Luna was right, whether they were better than him does not change the fact that alpha Kairos did not chose them as his mate. He does not like them and does not want to make them his mate

"Aren't you being too cocky? What's so special about you to like? The alpha did not even take your side! He didn't even try to defend you, that says a lot of things , doesn't it? " A random ass man suddenly exclaimed, irritating Bailey. He was gentle with the lady because she was respectful and she deserved to have her doubts clear. As for this man, how dared he?

"Are you stupid? Do you have comprehension problem? The pretty lady did not insult me once, why would the alpha defend me? She was not rude and meant no disrespect, why would the alpha take my side? Oh, are you reffering to yourself? It's okay, he is aware that I can defend myself from weaklings like you" Bailey said bluntly, crossing his legs as he stared at the man who was shaking in anger.

"Who are you calling a weakling?" He yelled and Bailey sighed

"Did I stutter? How weak and stupid! Of course I am addressing you" Bailey said in dissapointement.

"Want me to say it again?" Bailey added and angry at the provocation, the man shifted into a 4'5 wolf, walking towards Bailey in a predatory manner. He would show the omega who was the weak one!!

"Jayden!" A man yelled and Bailey raised his hand, his eyes fixed on the wolf who was menacingly walking towards him, trying to scare himy

'Want me to teach him his place?' Nameless asked angrily and Bailey chuckled, giving him the green lights

'He's a pack member, Nameless, go easy on him' Bailey warned and Nameless chuckled

Nameless took over Bailey's body and stared into the wolf's eyes. The wolf who was confident earlier now froze on the spot at the change in aura

"What's wrong little puppy? You can't move? I'm going easy on you, I'm only at the level of a normal pack member, I haven't reached the level of a weak warrior yet" Nameless mocked and the wolf started trembling at the oppression

"Shift" Nameless ordered and the wolf immediately did so, not being able to resist the order. The boy was looking down, his body shaking in fear. He wanted to look up but something strange was stopping him. He felt sorry and wanted to apologise for his actions but he could not do so.

"Brat. Kneel! Stay here for the whole dinner, this is your punishment" Nameless ordered and the man immediately kneeled on the ground, his head still bowed

"Hm, Since this is your first offence and no one was hurt, you will be forgiven once. But get this straight, you will never get a second chance, understood? " Nameless warned in a dangerous tone and the boy finally managed to lift his head to meet the unimpressed eyes of Nameless

"U-Understood, sir" He stuttered and Nameless stopped paying attention before stitting back in his place

"Anyone...does anyone has anything to say about me and my little human now?" Nameless asked and when no one answered, he nodded to himself

"Good. Then I'll have to say goodbye, we'll meet again one day" Nameless said before allowing Bailey to take back his place.

"Ladies and gentlement, this is your new Luna and I do not feel the need to defend him, knowing that he is fully capable of protecting himself. stand up and kneel, show respect to your new leader"
