At the mausoleum, the metal door began to open. CREAK!! The eerie echo of the door opening grew louder. Two of the youths that had once been statues came out. It was one of the boys and the girl. The boy was the red eyed one and his black hair went to his neck. His neck had a striking mark around it of an 'X' with vines and thorns. He wore a red, short sleeve shirt and black pants, black shoes and black fingerless arm gloves.
"A hundred years in sleep and I'm still tired," he yawned.
"You're tired, Okami? I'm just stiff," the girl replied, stretching her arm. Her gold hair was cut to her shoulders in the front and long in the back. She wore a sleeveless blue top, black pants, black shoes and black, fingerless arm sleeves. She had a mark under her left collarbone in the shape of an arrow and a butterfly.
"However, it is a beautiful night to wake up to," she said, smiling warmly.
"Alright! Finally awake!" the other boy said excitedly. He had an adventurer's smile and brown hair that spiked towards his right while his front was cut to a little past his chin. The boy wore blue, baggy shorts, an unbuttoned, green shirt and a black shirt underneath. He also had a mark of a dark compass rose on his right wrist. "I can't wait to see the sights!"
"Let's go to Europe! Or Japan! Or America!" He said, holding up his right arm gripped by his left. "What do you say, Risika? Okami?"
"Let's see what's up first, Hero," she said.
"Besides, we have no idea what this time period is like," Okami reminded. He turned his head, fangs extending. "I can sense demonic auras some ways from here."
Hero crossed his arms, annoyed.
"Got it, Hero, you can let go now," Okami said.
"Just wanted to emphasize my point," Hero replied. Risika smiled at her friends, unchanged after all these years. Hero's eyes widened in realization. "Wait!"
