"We're back! What happened-" Kairos stopped mid-sentence as he saw King lie on the ground with Nicolai sleeping on Lake's lap.

Lake was reading a book on the bed, a metal bat next to him. A familair pack warrior named Lewis was also there, leaning against the wall with a blank expression.

"Oh, you're back?" Lake asked without lifting his eyes from his books and Kairos nodded slowly, looking at him with a questioning gaze

"I hit him twice so, he may have memory loss when he wakes up! Also, you should give this guy a promotion! He's loyal" Lake explained, pointing to the warrior who smiled nervously

"I uh... can I go now?" He asked in a small voice in front of the alpha 

"No!" Kairos and Lake blurted in unison and the poor warrior sighed

"I figured" He mumbled to himself.

"Wake your man up" Kairos said,  poiting to a sleeping Nicolai and Lake shrugged

"No, let him sleep. Poor baby has had a rough night! When he went to the toilet, he was attacked by crows and a pigeon shat on his head. He had to bath outside with cold water and now, he's resting. Don't disturb him or I'll throw a bucket of water when you're sleeping" Lake threatened

"Damn...protective much?" Kairos asked and Lake cleared his throat, realising he just called Nicolai 'baby'

"I don't know what you're talking about" he replied instead and at that moment, King groaned in pain, slowly getting up.

"Dont touch the bat" Kairos exclaimed as he saw Lake reach for it

King looked around in daze and rubbed his head

"What am I doing here?" He asked in confusion and at that moment, Bailey entered the room

"Kairos?" King questioned before looking at Bailey

"Oh hello, who's that cute little omega having your scent?" He asked with a beaming expression, getting up slowly

"Oh god, he really lost his memory" Lake said horror

"This is my mate...his name is Bailey" Kairos explained with a hesitant expression and King smiled with a teasing expression

"I can't believe you finally chose a mate!!! Look at how cute he is! Hi, my name is King, I am this idiot's friend" He exclaimed in an eager and warm tone.

Bailey could only smile amiably, shaking his hand. This time, King's strength was gentle, as if he was afraid of hurting the omega

"Nice to meet you, I'm Bailey!" Bailey introuduced. To be honest, they knew that something probably happened for Bailey to be friendly, but they were still very confused.

" Why is everyone gathered here? Also, why does my head hurt? I feel like I was just hit by a truck ! One last question, what am I doing here?" King asked in confusion, rubbing his head which was a bit swollen.

'Prince, what's going on?' King asked his wolf

'I don't know....I'm as confused as you'

"What is the last thing you remember?" Bailey asked and King frowned

"Remember? I remember going to this weird forest because my pack warriors had seen some weird creatures.. I remember going inside a cave... And then, nothing" He replied after trying to remember things. He could also feel a sharp pain in his head as he tried to recollect his memories 

"Don't worry King, would you like to stay in the pack for some days until you get better?" Bailey asked politely and King slowly nodded

"I guess so" He mumbled

King was really confused as to what he was doing in Kairos' pack.

When did I even arrive?

King thought to himself, turning around and his breath got caught in his throat when he saw a pretty man lean against the wall

He had freckles on his chubby cheeks and gorgeous brown eyes with curly blonde hair

Soo prettyy!

King thought to himself, watching as the warrior stared at him with a guilty expression.

"Uh hi?" King questioned at the weird expression and the warrior got up quickly, pattin his clothes

"Oh... So he was good after all?" The warrior questioned with a worried expression and Bailey wanted to laugh when he saw that Lake slowly bent down to hide the bat under the bed

"What? What good? When I was bad?" King asked in confusion

What are they even talking about?

"Lewis, can you show Kairos the room he will stay at and look after him?" Kairos asked and the 5'7 warrior with curly blonde hair blushed

Lewis... This name sounds familiar....

"Y-you know my name alpha?" He stuttered, unable to hide his happiness at being recognised and Kairos nodded in amusement

"Who doesn't know you?" He teased and just like that, the happiness Lewish felt dissapeared into thin air.

"I-I promise alpha, I'm not stupid" He replied , trying to defend his intelligence making Kairos laugh

"Sure, sure" He teased before looking at King

"Um after you, alpha!" Lewis said politely and King eagerly followed the beauty out, still thinking about why this man seemed familiar. In the end, he decided to ask 

"Do I know you?"

"It's been years....You won't recognise me" Lewis said in an irritated tone and King frowned, following the warrior out

"So you do know me?" King questioned and the warrior sighed in annoyance

"Yes! I am as old as the alpha. When you were training him to become the alpha, you once trained some warriors and you made fun of me! I hope this answer your question now!" Lewis replied in a mocking tone and King frowned

"Why did I make fun of yo-.... Oooo, cry baby Lewiii!" King exclaimed in realisation, stopping in the middle of the road and Lewis' eyes twitch upon hearing the familiar nightmare-ish nickname.

"Not that again!!!" Lewis hissed and King laughed in amusement

"I can't believe you're that Lewis! From the scrawny 4'9 wolf that wanted to become a warrior at 15-years-old, you look so different! You were such a cry baby and tears would fill your eyes when you would get a booboo" King teased and Lewis glared at him in hatred

"Alpha King, please don't make fun of me anymore! I do respect you but you're annoying me!" Lewis sneered in distaste but the way he stomped his foot before running away was so cute, just like a cute angry bunny

King admired that cute little ass of his and grinned to himself

"Wait for me, baby Lewi!!" King teased, jogging to catch up with the cute warrior

As soon as King and Lewis went out, they all turned to Bailey for an explanation.

"Just because he lost his memory doesn't mean that he won't get them back! He's still evil!" Lake exclaimed and Bailey shook his head

"No he isn't, he's a genuine and sweet alpha like Kairos said and he thinks of him as a brother. Kairos... King really loves you but not in that way. He is indeed your friend and didn't betray you" Bailey confessed and Kairos' heart suddenly felt lighter as he sighed in relief

When Bailey told him that King betrayed him, Kairos was close to not believe, However, he remembered that Bailey was his mate and he w lie to would never lie to him

His heart broke when he found out that the man who helped him become what he is betrayed him

King was 20 when Kairos was 15 and he would visit the pack almost every month to see how he was doing.

Instead of yelling at him like his parents did, King would reward Kairos. Whenever Kairos did a mistake, King corrected him and the next time Kairos didn't repeat the same mistake, King would praise him and bring him out to eat

King showed him many places and even brought him to play in fields. He even pushed Kairos on a swing at 16 years old!

King was like the brother he never had and Kairos was so relieved that the brother he loved was not an evil person.

"Wait....but why did he act like he did?" Lake questioned

The 6'2 man with brown hair took a sip of his drink, glaring at the little weak omega who was laughing to himself. Clenching his fist, his eyes followed the figure of alpha Kairos who was happily eating his food

Alpha kairos, the one with the demon wolf. Tsk, an alpha like him choose such a weak omega as his mate?

This is unacceptable! He deserves much better than that pathetic bitch of an omega.

He was supposed to be mine!

Hmm, I'll enjoy taming the sexy alpha.

But first, I need to get rid of that omega

Kail thought to himself, eyeing the alpha in lust. After having had enough, he was returning to his pack but lost his path because of his tipsy state

Cursing to himself, he tried to pick up a scent but he could barely smell anything. Drops of water started falling and he hurriedly rushed inside the cave next to him.

Why is it lit up?

He thought in confusion, following the light torches which brought him to a huge hole. There was a table in the middle of the moon filled with books and clothes cattered on a chair. Food was being cooked in a pot meaning that someone was living here

Something sharp suddenly touched his back and he froze

"What are you doing here?" A voice hissed and the alpha slowly turned around to see a tiny 4'7 man with pointy ears and green hair

"Woah, what are you?" He asked in shock and the elf hissed, pushing the blade against Kail back. Kail could only let out a pained cry as he could feel the blade twist on his back

"I come in peace! I come in peace!" He yelled and the elf narrowed his eyes

"I don't trust you" He replied 

"I know....I know... I won't hurt you, really!" Kail exclaimed and the elf slowly removed the knife from his back

Kail sighed in relief and looked around as he tried to ignore the pain from his back

"What are you doing?" He asked, pointing to the books scattered all over the place

".... Why should I tell you?" The elf questioned

"Nevermind, I don't want to know...I'm just going then" He replied, turning around but before he could walk away so, the elf stopped him

"You can't run. I am here for an important work and I need to find a way to get into contact  with alpha Kairos" The elf explained and Kail froze

"Alpha kairos?" He asked in a dark voice and the elf smirked when he felt the dark obsession of the wolf for this name

"Hmm yes, Alpha kairos. Do you want him or his demon wolf?" the elf asked in malice and Kail licked his lips

"Hmm... His body" He replied and the elf grinned

"I will give you what you want..... I'll give you his body and when I take his wolf, he'll be a human...so weak and pathetic. You'll be able to control him and do whatever you want to him" the elf whispered and Kail could feel his pants tighten at the thought of doing things to the alpha

"Anything?" He asked and the elf nodded,

"Anything" He exclaimed

"What are we going to do?"Kail asked

"Hm... I need to teleport inside his pack to take him but with his wolf, it won't be easy. Besides, I need someone already inside the pack to allow me to teleport" The elf explained and Kail frowned

"Teleport?"

The elf then proceeded to tell Kail about how teleportation worked

"I can't ask anyone from his pack to help me because if they refuse, they will already suspect me, I cannot afford to take this risk" The elf explained

"I can go to his pack but they'll know it was me since I'm not close with the alpha at all" Kail said in annoyance

"Isn't there anyone who the alpha trust and isn't in his pack?" The elf asked and Kail shook his head

"No, the alpha Is cold and-.. King... Alpha King is the most trusted person of Kairos but he won't help us, I am certain" Kail said and The elf grinned

"Leave that to me.... Kail, don't underestimate my power."

...

"Hello? Is anyone there?" a voice called as Kail was reading his books

"You just entered the wolf's den" Kail whispered to himself and as soon as King stepped inside, the elf quickly knocked him unconscious making the body fall on the ground

"Alright, time to take his soul" The elf said before closing his eyes. Kail watched as a circle appeared beneath the alpha and one could see a white bubble coming out of King's body. The elf closed his eyes and mumbled some chant which allowed him to absorb King's soul.

"Now, it's your turn.... Do you really want me to kill you and transfer your soul into the alpha's body? You will forever be known as Alpha King and not Kail" The elf explained

"Hmm let's check, I'm the alpha of a stupid weak pack ranked at 538 while King is the alpha of a huge pack ranked at 17. He is more powerful than me and as a bonus, he is close to Alpha Kairos. Once you place my soul into his body, I'll be alpha King and no one will know. Do it....bring my soul into his body" Kail exclaimed in excitement

"If I die before a month... His soul will no longer be trapped inside of me. His soul will return back to his body and eject yours. You'll then be dead... forever. It takes around a month for me to digest the soul of my victim" The elf explained, giving him a chance to back down and Kail laughed

"it's fine, you just won't die" He replied cockily and when he opened his eyes, he got up, staring at himself in the mirror of the elf's den

"Let's put our plan into action. I, Kail Lair, give the elf my consent and permission to use my soul as a vessel" He promised 

"Very well"

"When Nameless killed the elf, the soul of King returned back to his body because he was still alive unlike me" Bailey finished explaining

"Damn....that was eventful. Thank god King's soul returned to his body" Lake said in relief and Bailey nodded

"Don't get too excited, our work isn't done yet! We have to go check if he's really dead"

When they headed to the cave for a check, they were relieved to see the dead body Kail; The alpha who swapped his body with King.

With the help of some pack members, they immediately burnt everything inside the cave, leaving no traces of the elf's belonging.

All the magical books were destroyed and not a single one was left

When they returned to the pack, Kairos was amused to see an annoyed Lewis glare at a smiling King who was probably bullying him. Lewis was eating his food in peace while King destroyed the said peace by stealing his fries

"Looks like King found himself a mate" Kairos teased and Bailey nodded in amasement, thinking that they looked so good together!!

"What did Lewis mean by he wasn't stupid?" Bailey asked, wanting to know the secret behind it

"Lewis is of my age. He trained alongside with me at the age of 15. After my dads died, I changed the rules. All pack members, regardless of their rank, sex and title were eligible to compete for a spot in the troop. Normally, only members whose parents were warriors were allowed to join. Lewis was really tiny back then, as tiny as you! But, his attitude I tell you, he can make a grown man cry!!" Kairos joked and Bailey chuckled, trying to imagine Lewis as a short-tempered scrawny little bunny.

Kairos continued, "He doesn't think before he speak and everyone thinks of him as an idiot. But, I know his capacity and hardwork. Even if he is average, for a man whose wolf isn't born for fighting, he's far more strategic and stronger than I imagined. In fact, he is the opposite of stupid. He may be simple minded but during stressful situations and attacks, his brain works really fast" Kairos explained and Bailey was impressed on hearing Kairos praise someone. 

"He seems so good! I wonder if he will like me" Bailey asked to himself

"Go talk to him?" Kairos asked and Bailey grinned

"Okay!" Bailey exclaimed, joining Lewis at his table
