Jasper floats in the air with the skeleton’s body wrapped up in flaming chains. Morgan shuffles around the rooftop as Jasper’s eyes follow her around the area. A magical witch and a twisted phantom eyeing each other carefully looking for any signs of weakness. Morgan stole a glance at Damian’s body. Jasper spotted his opportunity and let loose a flurry of flaming chains in her direction. She tossed Damian’s head into the air, rolled to the side to avoid the attack and caught his skull just before it hit the ground. “If you drop my head then I’m kicking your ass!”.
Jasper and Morgan both took a deep breath. He is getting ready to incinerate his enemy, and the skeleton boy he betrayed years ago. The witch is preparing herself for one of the dumbest ideas she has ever regretted. Jasper breathed out a volley of blue fireballs towards them. She charged ahead, using the shield to cut through the flames. The smoke hurting her lungs, the intense heat around her, and the overwhelming fear screaming in her head to run away made it feel like actual hell.
“Let him go!”, she shouted. The phantom unleashed a large continuous flame and Morgan lunged straight into it. She channeled all of her fear into strength to keep charging ahead. “Gravestone shield: Burning soul charge!”. She smashed her weapon into the phantom and shoved him towards the ground. Fear crept into the phantom boy’s mind as he realized he couldn’t phase through the shield.
Morgan smashed him into the ground below and formed a large crater. As the dust settled and the scattering stones came to a halt, Morgan’s hand emerged holding the black skull. “Catch!”. She tossed it back to its rightful owner. The skeleton and the witch climbed out of the crater together.
“I thought you couldn’t fight?!”, yelled a dumbfounded Damian. “All I did was fall on him!”, yelled back a flabbergasted Morgan.
They were both brought back to the harsh reality of their situation when Onna spoke. “Creature from the beyond, respond, to the blood of an immortal, and the hand of death! Come into this world great primordial...Soul eater!”.
The skull shaped blood she made earlier rose off the ground and shot into the sky. The clouds turned blood red and a large white hand stretched out from it. An unsettling tension filled the air. The sound of sniffing could be heard coming from the clouds above. It was like a predator catching the scent of fresh prey. A strange sight came into view as a massive amount of blood stretched down from the heavens dripping down to the world below. A disgusting splat sound echoed through the area upon contact and the creature within the blood came into view. Its giant building sized white body, bald, humanoid shape, large mouth on its stomach, six eyes and arms just left everyone speechless for what felt like an eternity.
“Oh shit! What the hell is that?!”, screamed Damian. A possessed Joanna gave a rage filled look to Onna. “You traitor! Why would you bring it here?! My kin will all be consumed!”. Onna shrugged. “What kind of host doesn’t offer their guest something to eat when entering their home?!”.
As the Soul Eater is opening its mouth a high pitched metallic sound attacked the ears of everyone around. It sounded like a combination of metal scraping against metal, nails on a chalkboard, and the millions of people screaming their last breaths before death.
A powerful gust of wind blew through the entire dorm section of the campus followed by many vapor trails of various colors from the spectors that were haunting it. The souls, ghosts, and phantom intruders were now being devoured by the beast.
Morgan got tossed aside, but Damian quickly dashed over and caught her. “That's…That’s a primordial…One of the ancient beings of the underworld that have a similar status and level of power to that of Lord Death.”.
The hopeless witch fell to her knees. “This is how it ends…”.
