The energy around him swirls more and more,  almost covering the entire area.  It expands more and more, and all I can  do is try to guard against it. I extend my shield into the ground in front of me and bear the brunt of the attack. I look back but unfortunately it is mostly futile.

Everyone is knocked back, the technique doing what it did all those years ago, draining their consciousness. 

Damn. They’re gonna be out of it for a bit.

“Enough.” Kousei slowly walks towards me.

Struggling to stay standing, the attack while guarded by me, still had an effect. I fall to my knees, trying to stay awake.

“I figured… that wouldn't be enough.” I mutter to myself.

“Oh, you remembered from before, huh? Good job staying awake this time. It’s not like it matters anyway, for you see, it’s time to “clean house” as it were.” He raises his sword above his head to strike me down.
