The next day, Chu Yangcheng continued to carry Zhao Ran on his shoulders as he hurried forward. Zhao Ran was afraid of being imprisoned by the other party's magic again, so he dared not say much. He only occasionally talked to the other party coldly, but often did not receive a response. However, even so, Zhao Ran gradually figured out Chu Yangcheng's preferences. This Taoist seemed only interested in practicing martial arts and had no love for anything else. This made Zhao Ran very angry because he knew nothing about it and naturally couldn't please the other party.
As we move forward, the mountain terrain becomes smoother and less steep than before. When the sun was setting in the west, the two of them rushed to a mountain. Chu Yangcheng put down Zhao Ran and went up the bluestone road towards the mountain first. Zhao Ran saw a stone tablet slanting beside the road, engraved with three seal characters - Wuji Mountain.
Chu Yang climbed up the stairs, although not as fast as before, Zhao Ran wanted to catch up with him, but he was also exhausted.
Zhao Ran gasped for breath as he listened to Chu Yangcheng say, "This is Wuji Mountain, and seven miles southeast of the mountain is Guyang County. To the south of Guyang County is Shiquan County. Today, you haven't received any water or rice, so you can use some food here and go on your own
Zhao Ran was indeed hungry, but when he heard Chu Yangcheng's intention, he seemed to be preparing to part ways with him, so he didn't care about eating. His mind was wandering around, just thinking about how to find a way to involve this Taoist in some cause and effect.
After walking up the green stone steps for a moment and taking a few turns, the steps suddenly rose. Looking up, a Taoist mountain gate with red lacquer and gold eaves suddenly appeared in front of me. The eaves are double layered, the doors are open, and on the blue plaque directly above, there are three large painted gold characters - Wujiyuan. The red painted lintel under the plaque bears the inscription "Mountain Vault", with the left pillar reading "Splendid Scenery in the River" and the right pillar reading "Yin Yang Outside the Law". The annotation of 'Mountain Vault' is: Fax from the Heavenly Master's hand.
Behind the tall mountain gate, countless halls and buildings can be faintly seen climbing along the mountain, all hidden among the green trees and pine trees.
Zhao Ran became excited and thought to himself, "Just find a place. If you don't accept me, I will eat, drink, defecate, and die in front of your mountain gate! To confirm his guess, he asked again, "Is this the Taoist temple of the immortal
Chu Yangcheng shook his head and didn't answer. He climbed up the stone steps and arrived at the gate.
Without seeing Chu Yangcheng knocking on the door, the gate opened wide and a famous old Taoist with several people greeted him, all bowing respectfully with their heads bowed. Only the old Taoist and others sang in unison, 'Respectfully welcome Master Fa's carriage!' Chu Yangcheng waved his hand, indicating that no formalities were needed, and walked straight into the mountain gate.
Zhao Ran naturally couldn't fall behind and followed closely behind him with three or two steps. The old Taoist was slightly surprised to see Zhao Ran dressed in tattered clothes, not dressed in proper attire, and did not know his identity. But Chu Yangcheng didn't say anything, so he didn't want to ask and just didn't know, so he was the first to lead the way.
Passing by the screen wall behind the mountain gate, passing through a bamboo forest and several unknown palaces, the view suddenly opened up, but it was a courtyard paved with bluestone. Xuanchang has an area of about six or seven zhang and is divided into upper and lower sides. The lower level is slightly larger, with two two-story small buildings on opposite sides, namely the Bell Tower and Drum Tower. Above the nine story stone steps is the upper level pavilion surrounded by stone railings. Standing on the pavilion stands the towering Sanqing Hall, with a large copper furnace in front of it, adorned with a flying crane. Cigarettes waft from the furnace, and the scent of sandalwood fills the air.
A group of Taoist priests hurriedly descended from the upper courtyard, with the abbot's beard and eyebrows turning white. He was quite old and his body trembled as he walked down to Chu Yangcheng with the help of two young children. The Taoist behind him was wearing three religious scarves on his head and was in his forties or fifties, but he was in a prison. Behind the two stood three Taoist priests, and behind them were seven or eight people, all of whom had identities in the Wuji Temple.
The Taoist priests bowed their heads and sang in unison, "Respectfully welcome Master Fa Jia
Now Zhao Ran finally understood that Chu Yang was not a Taoist of this sect, but he seemed to have a significant background.
