The rumbling quickly went silent; everyone in the area was shooting worried looks and wondering if an attack would occur. Surprisingly, ground beneath an old man who wasn't on the battle field started to crack and make cracking sounds.
A claw shot out of the ground with deathly speed, tearing the elderly man in three unequal parts. The beast came fully out of the newly created hole and stood in front all the weak-willed and injured people, glaring menacingly.
Jon and the other notice screams being made and turn their eyes to the commotion happening away from hole-fill battle ground. The beast lifted up its claws, ready to lunge at the weak, defenseless people.
"Those poor people need my help," Jon whispered, his voice trembling with urgency. "I can't just stand by and watch that monster slaughter them all. They’re terrified, defenseless. I won’t let innocent lives be snuffed out while I have the strength to fight. I have to stop it, no matter the cost."
His hands clenched into fists, resolve hardening in his eyes as Jon prepared to confront the danger ahead.
Jon broke formation and started to make his way towards the ground lizard. But while Jon's speed was swift, it wasn't fast enough to be able to reach in time. He moves his feet with vigor, but his goal still seems a distance away. Jon inhales deeply and exhales slowly.
(I need a little just more speed; I need more of "that" power from before.)
(What's this? .... I can feel some warmth in my leg.)
Those were Jon's inner monologues, riddling around in his head.
A subtle sensation of energy intermittently flickers on and off in both legs, creating a feeling of mild, rhythmic pulses. This could be described as a tingling or light buzzing sensation, possibly indicating a temporary change in circulation or nerve activity.
His pupils became bright golden hues, and his feet lit up blue energy surrounding them. "Oh wow, I'm moving as fast as air itself; these legs are as light as a feather." A trail of dust followed him.
Leo and the others stood there and watched this young man transition from a quick-running man to a blurred figure. In a matter of seconds, Jon was almost before the beast, in hopes of intersecting its claw before cutting into the small child.
He was accelerating at an alarming rate, with speeds that might be hard for someone to slow down from.
"I need to stop; somehow I need to right now!" Jon exclaimed seconds before colliding into the monster.
Jon uses the back of his heel to break his speed as he rapidly approaches the ground lizard. "Wow woow..!!!" Jon expresses as his speed slows down. Jon balances himself before the creature's claws as he intersects the monster attack.
While also catching the claws mid-attack, he struggles to hold it as the fight and the pressures crush down on him. As cold sweat starts to form and knees begin to bend, the tough scales push into his soft flesh, causing his palm to reddish. The beast head tilted his head and then lifted its tail and slammed it into his left ribs.
Jon fell to the ground while sliding and bouncing around like a flat stone skipping on water. As he tried to stand his body and involuntarily cough up blood, this is evidence that the tail did some damage.
Jon opened his mouth, ready to perform a skill activation, but the monster was a lot faster. It stomped on Jon's body, taking advantage of him failing to rise up quickly. Leo and the others were on their way, sprinting, for they weren't close enough to intersect the creature. Luckily Leo was quick-witted and used his gun; he points it in the air while closing his left eye.
Leo held his gun firmly with both hands, with his index finger hovering over the trigger. "Active lock on skill!." His right eye was a blue hue, and a target aim was visible to his eye.
"OK, just a little bit more to the right; I can perfectly take out his eye." Leo stated as he saw the target aim perfectly align to the eye of the creature. A swift bang of the gun echoing in the as the bullet went straight to the creatures eyes. Leo tried to shoot with second eyes, but the creature quick-blocked with its tail.

《Active skill lock-on》
Lock-on
[This allows the user to visualize a target-aim-like object that always allows the user to be able to hit any target with ease. This is very useful for long range weapons users such as gunners, archers and even knife throwers.]
