The shadow beneath the reaper rose up in the form of a vicious shadow wolf. The shadow wolf ripped its jaws into the shoulder of the reaper, tearing his robe off.  Okami's second power to control shadows revealed the reaper's true form.

    "You can cloak yourself from humans but not to us, demon," he stated coldly. The demon was exposed, a hideous humanoid creature with the head of a bull skull. The demon glared at them and stood up.
    "The infamous Angels of Death," the demon said as other reapers came forth.  "Has it been a hundred years already?"
    "Don't talk to us as if we're friends," Hero warned.
    "We're both demons, aren't we?" the demon asked. "And isn't it wrong to go against your own kind over a grudge?"

     There was no friendship in the demon's words. They were meant to sting, to mock, to trample on something sacred.
    The demon lunged at them, but Risika sent a blast of water at him. The speed was so quick the demon was taken aback.
    "You want to fight, eh? Fine," the twisted demon growled as his allies began to reveal themselves. Okami and Hero got ready to take on the other ones; But Risika sensed a demon coming quickly from behind her! She was almost unable to react.

     "Time to die!" the demon declared. But, wind scythes came forth, slashing into bloody pieces the demon daring to attack Risika. She turned to see her brother's eyes, protectively dark.

     "Don't touch my sister!" he warned. His aid, however, left him open as another demon came at him from behind!

      "But what about you?" the demon mocked. Hero grit his teeth.

       I was too careless to sense him! he chided in his head. But as the demon was about to strike, Hero felt Okami's flames blazing at the back of his neck. If there was a demon before, there wasn't one now.
    "Hero! Don't get distracted!" Okami yelled. Hero saluted with a determined smile.

    "You got it!" he replied. However, he quickly sensed a new aura coming! From in the sky, a dark portal opened and a hideous demon with wings came out of it. This one had slightly more power than the other.

     Another one...? Hero thought, seeing this new challenger. Considering this demon could fly, Hero released his wings. If this was a battle in the skies, then he'd be happy to oblige.
