Hero flew at the demon who flew at him. Both of them clashed, with Hero's fist breaking half of the skull mask the demon wore and its jaw; however, the demon had slashed Hero down his collarbone with his razor sharp claws. The force between the two separated them for a moment to quickly gather their senses.

        Thank God that wasn't a fatal strike! I can heal easily from this, Hero thought. Being half angel made taking demonic attacks a little tougher, but not impossible to recover from so long as it wasn't a fatal blow. I'm gonna finish him here and now!

          Hero lifted his hand and a bright light appeared in it. From the light came forth a green staff with images of winds decorated on it. It was made from the wood of a Heavenly tree and given a holy blessing to make it able to fight demons. The staff's name was Zephyr.  The demon was not impressed or afraid.

         "Weapon or not, I will kill you!" the demon vowed as he flew at Hero. With his two fingered claw, he roared as he struck at Hero.

         Or so he thought he'd struck Hero! In fact, he had only attacked the air! The demon stopped in midair, realizing that he had attacked Hero's afterimage.

         How'd he move that fast?! the demon thought, incredulously. Naturally, angels and demons move far faster than humans, but even they can be varying degrees faster than each other. The demon looked around everywhere. Behind me? My left? My right? Where is he?!

        "Hey, Ugly!" Hero's voice yelled from above the demon. The demon turned in disbelief and saw Hero with his staff raised above him! Hero roared as he brought Zephyr down with enough force to shatter every bone in a human body onto the demon's head! The remainder of the demon's skull helmet was obliterated and he fell with great force down into the sidewalk of the graveyard attraction. The demon would survive this, so Hero took no chance. He swooped down like a bird of prey with his right arm glowing with golden light.
