Fred POV
(WARNING! THIS CHAPTER CONTAINS THE FOLLOWING:
- Violence
- Cursing)
I don’t know what was happening. Did I have the time to save this kid? I then opened my eyes and the only things that I saw was the ground, covered with my blood and Samado, standing in front of me, but something wasn’t normal. His neck… A sort of mark started to grow and spread all over his body, like my demon mark. Was he also a de…
He then suddenly rushed the demon with his katana pulled out. That speed… How could he be so fast? All I was able to see in my position is Samado literally teleporting right in front of him and trying to slash his leg. Why was he so focused on his leg? Could it be… The thing that was on the arm of the other demon, but on his leg? I just don’t understand… But I literally stopped thinking and I simply… enjoyed the fight. He was putting so much effort, but at the same time, he was easily defeating this demon. I could definitely see the demon sweating for the first time. He had difficulty dodging the unpredictable attacks of my sensei. Wait… Something isn’t right… The first one died by cutting his arm, but my sensei is trying the left leg to kill him… Is there something related between those two? Hm… YEAH!
There is a thing that I realized during my combat. The demons were always trying to cover their mark and they were surprised when they cutted both of my arms and legs and I didn’t die. Unfortunately for them, a demon from the royal family has his mark around the neck, and normal demons have their mark around the legs and the arms. We can come to a conclusion with that, which is… Our weak point is our mark! My sensei never told me how I could kill these demons, so that’s why I wasn’t able to do a single damage to them. Also, I accidently slashed the mark of one of them, so that’s probably why he died… So my sensei is probably trying to slash his mark to neutralize him. I just wished that I could help my sensei right now… Because of all the energy that I spent during the fight, my energy storage was already empty. I can’t even activate my mark to regenerate at 100% my left leg. It was hurting so much… WAIT! Was the kid that I saved still alive? It’s at this moment that I heard a little voice to my right.
“Are… Are you okay?” Said the kid.
I was relieved that the kid was still alive, but unfortunately, I wanted to ask him to pull out the rock on top of me, but he is just a child. He can’t do anything.
“You are okay, and that’s what’s important” I responded, with a weak voice.
“I don’t want you to die, I… I am sure I can do something for you!" said the little kid.
“Look at the size of the rock, little kid. You can’t lift that.” I said..
“You just lifted it, why couldn’t I do that too?” Said the kid, angry.
“It’s not the same thing… I’m not a normal human. I’m much stronger than a human like you. And anyway, you’re just a kid” I replied.
“Pfffffffffff…” He said, discouraged.
He then tried to lift the rock. He wasn’t even able to make it move a single millimeter.
“COME ON!!!” He screamed to himself.
Why was he trying so hard to save me? For sure he couldn’t do anything. Anyway, I just need for my sensei to end his fight so he could help me. As I remembered the fight between the other demon and my sensei, I quickly turned my head in their direction and it’s at this moment that I realized that the fight would soon be over for the demon. He was injured a lot, compared to my sensei that didn’t have a single scratch. The demon was on his knees, bleeding and suffering. My sensei was standing in front of him, looking at him.
“You’re so weak…” He said.
It’s at this moment that I realized the real strength of my sensei. It was scary. He wasn’t in his normal state. He was way too concentrated than usual. His eyes were empty and just by his deep look, we could see the urge to kill, but at the same time, compared to the demon who was completely furious when he had that look, my sensei was calmer than usual. How can he do that? Normally, everyone with the urge to kill is out of control, but Samado was way more in control of his body than in his normal state. It was starting to be terrifying. So that’s what his mark is doing… What was it? Was it… His swordsman mark? The demon finally responded to what my sensei said to him.
“Shut up! It’s obvious that you are defeating me, you are Samado Roy, the chief of the swordsman!”
Yeah… My sensei was in fact the chief of the swordsman since the capital of our clan got completely destroyed by the ninjas, so when he was 14 years old. Pretty young for a swordsman to become the leader when normally, our past leaders were selected only at 30… Probably because he was already so powerful at this age… Talking about him, he then continued talking:
“Goodbye, little demon…”
He was about to slash off the mark of this demon until something really unexpected happened. When my sensei tried to kill him, the demon dodged the attack at a high speed and…
