Samado POV
(WARNING! THIS CHAPTER CONTAINS THE FOLLOWING:
- Violence
- Cursing)
I lost my concentration… It happens sometimes, but normally, I would have dodged that. Well, it doesn’t seem so, because the demon had the time to use one of his special abilities to cut off one of my hands, precisely the hand where I was holding my katana. The pain was so intense compared to his normal attacks.
“ARGGGGGH!” I screamed in pain.
How did it happen?! I just lost my hand! Compared to Fred, I can’t regenerate myself, so can we consider that I could not fight till the end of my life? Ahahahahaha! What am I saying? I don’t care if I have one hand left. I will only surrender if I can’t even breathe!
“You thought it was over? I’m not done with you!” I said while getting up.
“HOW CAN YOU EVEN… Actually, it doesn’t matter, I am going to easily kill you now!” Said the demon.
I simply smiled at him without answering his provocation. I knew at this moment exactly what was going to happen to him.
“STOP SMILING! IT’S NOT EVEN FUNNY!” He screamed, troubled.
I didn’t even have the time to respond to him when he directly rushed to me. I had a plan in my head, and I directly executed it by always moving backwards. He was still trying to attack me with his sword when he suddenly cutted off the rock that was crushing Fred without even realizing it. So my plan did work… Without even realizing it, this demon did the worst mistake of his life, which is to release a beast out of his cage. Of course, I will need to hold the demon a bit longer if I want Fred to help me, but I can buy a lot of time for him to regenerate and regain at least half of his energy storage by meditating. I think he understood my plan, because literally a second after being released, he was already meditating to regain his energy storage. Even the kid on his side was completely shocked, and that was so funny to watch. Unfortunately for me, I can’t laugh like I want to, or the demon will be able to slash my other hand, which will kind of put me in a bad situation, but the thing that is much funnier is that the demon didn’t even realize that Fred was out.
Suddenly, I realized that the demon was starting to lack speed, strength and more importantly, stamina. It was now or never! I rushed directly to him and faked cutting his neck. He then tried to block my katana with his hands, but he instead saw his hands being slashed by my weapon. It took less than a second for me to benefit from his hands missing to make a flip midair, so my head could directly face his mark, and I slashed it with ease.
It was finally over. The demon was completely shocked, and fell on the ground. I did it… I killed him using my left hand, a hand that I usually don’t fight with since I am better with my right one. Unfortunately, talking about my right hand, I lost it during the fight. Since I am human, I can’t regenerate it. Well well well… That seems like a big de…
Out of nowhere, my mark suddenly concentrated his strength on my missing hand and it came back. What the… I didn’t know that my mark could regenerate injuries like that… I knew that I could regenerate from wounds, but from bg injuries like losing my hand… Wow… I guess I am not the little kid that survived the First War of Clan anymore, but a real warrior that can beat the best of the best, even if this demon was really weak I shall say…
Talking about the best of the best and the prophecy, my student realized that the fight was already over and joined me.
“SENSEI! IS YOUR HAND AL… What the… HOW DID YOU REGENERATE!?”
“AHAHAHAHAHA, YOUR SENSEI HAS A LOT OF TRICKS ON HIS SLEEVE!!!”, I simply responded.
The two of us started laughing for minutes until we realized that the kid was still there, so we took him to his family and helped the villagers rebuild everything that was destroyed during the assault. From now, we thought that nobody will ever attack this village again since it was way more protected and hidden now. We didn’t know that we were super and super wrong.
