In that short moment of rest that the two had, thousands of thoughts passed through Yanma and William's heads. 

On William's side, he managed to feel useful in a battle for the first time, but the feeling that Yanma did practically all the work lingered in the back of his mind. 

William couldn't be more wrong, as Yanma thought otherwise. 

In the captain's view, without the boy's help, perhaps the battle would spread further than it already did. With William serving as a distraction, it became much easier and more comfortable to attack the enemy. 

The reality that both cannot see is that, if one of them were not present, the outcome of the battle would probably be different. 

It was the first time that William had seen someone being murdered in front of him. For an ordinary child, this could be a trauma that would last for the rest of their life, but William has a different view. 

For him, the fate of anyone who wields a sword is to be cut. Of course, because he is a child, he does not think in these words, but rather in something simpler and easier to understand...

Basically, William understands that this is the price you pay when you put your life at risk. 

Yanma has a similar view. For her, death is a consequence of the individual's actions. If Saibur died by her hands, it was because he put himself in that situation. 

It's a very logical and unsentimental view of life and death, where the weight of impaling your enemies to their death is not felt on your back. 

William shares a similar opinion to Yanma, where empathy and feelings should be disregarded on the battlefield. The same cannot be said about Light. 

Light constantly tries to ignore his feelings for his enemies, but something inside him hesitates to kill someone. Perhaps this is a result of their old world, where everyone was taught to respect others and have affection for others since they were little. 

In Eldor, these rules exist, but they are not enforced by those who fight. 

However, little by little, without realizing it, Light slowly becomes more indifferent towards his opponents. Maybe this is the result of wanting to be a mage. 

Perhaps, being a mage means abandoning the "human" side and embracing the "machine" side. 

In the midst of the brief moment of rest between the two, William worries about his brother's situation. 

"He must be fine..." William thinks aloud. 

Even though he has no guarantee that his brother is alive, William forces himself to believe that Light is standing, but his eyes scream with worry, as does his heart. 

"We should go to the west gate." Yanma breaks William's wave of thoughts. "Rodic must be fighting Marco; we can help him." Yanma completes. 

"..." William looks at Yanma with an uneasy look. "Yes!" And then, he nods. 

The two now cross the war zone, where many knights and enemies are fallen, bloodied, some still alive, but injured. The enemies will not resist for long, and Legorio's army will win. 

The few enemies that still have to fight two soldiers at the same time. The south gate is definitely protected. 

Yanma and William walk to their destination. Taking care not to step on the bodies, they note that some healers treat injured soldiers with healing magic in various ways. 

In the magic present in the four elements, water can have a greater healing property, so most healers who do not have Healing Magic, have Water Magic. Water Magic is not as powerful as Healing Magic, but it serves as an alternative when you don't have mages with healing capabilities.

On the west side of the kingdom, where Rodic and Marco are battling intensely, the wear and tear on both of them is visible, especially Rodic's tiredness. 

His green cover is dirty, with some parts burned or appearing as ash. 

His mask is also damaged, but not completely broken. 

Normally, Rodic would have no difficulty dealing with an experienced mage, but what is leaving him in an uncomfortable situation is Marco's Fire Magic. 

Just as water puts out fires on many occasions, flames burn wood. This puts Rodic at a magical disadvantage, where he needs to create any spell with double resistance or even more. 

In Rodic's mind, he is sure that Marco also spent a considerable amount of mana, and he is right. 

Even though Marco is not tired like the adventurer with the gold badge, he can already feel tired for the duration of the battle. 

The environment around the entire west gate is on fire, like an inferno. 

The invaders were practically defeated, with only a few remaining, who were killed by Legorio's remaining soldiers. 

Some soldiers, both enemies and allies, writhe on the ground as the fire spreads across their bodies. 

Surrounding houses are also set on fire and destroyed, as is the ground made uneven by roots. 

The sky at this moment is quickly darkening, and the night is about to fall suddenly. The sun was setting on the horizon, dyeing the sky with shades of orange and pink. The shadows were lengthening, and a gentle breeze carried with it the scent of the approaching night.

Marco, who has his back to the gate, launches a blast of fire with his sword towards the adventurer. 

Rodic reflexively creates a wooden shield on the outside of his left forearm. The fire hits the shield, causing it to crack, but it withstands the impact. Rodic is pushed slightly in the attack. 

With his other arm free, Rodic launches seeds as fast as arrows. Marco thinks they are projectiles, but when the seeds are within a short distance, they open into roots that trap him! 

With Marco entwined in the roots, Rodic launches more seeds, but these as projectiles, using his Long-Distance Magic. 

Along the way, the seeds increase in size in the blink of an eye! 

Previously, what were small seeds turned into seeds similar in size and shape to banana hearts. 

Marco is caught by surprise and is forced to try harder than planned to avoid it! 

He successfully manages to dodge the seeds, except for one, which catches the upper part of his left shoulder, tearing off the flesh entirely, and tearing his clothes, leaving no visible wound. 

"Argh." Marco mutters in pain while making an unpleasant expression. 

Rodic doesn't wait for Marco to recover and conjures a kind of whip made of vine, which clings to Marco, entwining him. 

With the leader of the bandits trapped in his vines, Rodic uses his strength to spin in the air and throw Marco into a building behind him!

Marco crashes into a house next door, crashing into its walls and out of sight, but Rodic's whip still hold him, or were holding him.

Debris flies while an explosion of flames happens simultaneously. 

The whip was destroyed in the process, but the adventurer soon makes another one as he runs towards the destroyed house. 

In the midst of the fire and flames, Rodic can see Marco sitting awkwardly, apparently bewildered. 

As soon as the adventurer looks, the whip is thrown, and at the same time, Rodic hangs from the top of a nearby house. 

When the vines get caught, Rodic pulls him, causing Marco to be dragged away. However, his attack didn't stop there, as the adventurer began running across the rooftops while Marco was dragged along the ground. 

Rodic's speed increases so much that, at a certain point, Marco's body leaves the ground. Rodic, realizing this, releases the vines, and Marco is thrown forward with extreme acceleration! 

Marco collides with a brick building, but the building doesn't give in and remains standing. However, a hole was made in its wall, leaving the leader of the invaders invisible in the darkness inside. 

Rodic then lands on the ground, facing the house. The noise around is quiet, but the same cannot be said about the sounds heard in the distance, which are screams and explosions. 

Due to the darkness of the night, Rodic's vision quickly adapts, allowing him to see inside where Marco is. 

Rodic anticipates and enters through the destroyed opening. 

There, he sees bookshelves and some glass materials used in chemistry. It's probably a laboratory that Rodic had just destroyed. 

Looking from side to side, the experienced adventurer cannot find his enemy. He quickly remembered that Marco wears a black cape, which makes him camouflage himself in this environment. 

Marco unexpectedly appears, jumping from the walls like a spider, attacking the adventurer with his flaming fist, creating his own lighting in the place! 

Rodic is thrown out of the building by the punch, and Marco advances towards him. 

Even though he falls, Rodic manages to regain his balance and stay on his feet. He quickly locates his opponent and launches a vine whip, which grabs Marco, but this was a serious mistake.
