I wanted to update here as, my goodness, it's been a long time since I teased this series. I had honestly expected to be up and running by now and wanted to offer a little explanation as I know a lot of you are signed up and being ludicrously patient! Thank you!
So, as those of you who came from BREAKS will know, the printed versions of that series have been released this year, with the third out in December. Gods & Graces has been with my agent in this time and has been looking for a print home. In an ideal world I'd hoped to, unlike BREAKS, have that side of things contracted before I started the webcomic, as it saves some complication down the line...as I've learned.
But the pitch process has been a lot slower than I'd hoped. Orbit needed to have a certain amount of BREAKS out the door before they could honour the first refusal on the G&G pitch, and I understand that. And now my agent is in the process of securing further territories. So, it's all business and a little out of my hands. But, believe me, I'm keen to get rolling here!
In the meantime, I do have an entire script for book one and have been working through pages, cautiously as any editor who comes on board may well want to make...well, edits :D
There are a lot of moving parts and, ultimately, my hands are a bit tied. But working! (Sadly, not earning, ehehe.) I wanted to offer some snippets and an apology and a hope that you'll bear with me. This series will hopefully be worth the wait. Epic, historical queer romance fantasy is on the way!
If you want to catch up with the process and see any more of the progression, do come join us at my rather dinky but lovely patreon, haha! https://www.patreon.com/emmavieceli
(Honestly, if I got enough traction there, maybe I wouldn't even need the publisher, ohohohoh :D As it is though, I'm excited to work with publishers from the get-go on this one)
Thank you for your patience! Hang on in there, it's still on the way!
Ems ^_^
-------COMING SOON!-------
GODS & GRACES: THE MOLLIES AND THE MAGICIAN
It’s 1769 and the French revolution is just twenty years away, but Parisian student Gabriel Lacombe is going to find himself thrust into London’s dirty streets and a very different sort of revolution; one that will teach him that strength and courage can come in different forms, and that the world is already changing behind closed doors.
London's illegal queer culture takes refuge behind the doors of molly houses; private inns acting as sanctuaries where people live their truths in identity and in love.
Gabriel flees his home with a thousand questions in his head and a simple stone in his hand. How much trouble can what he carries get him into...and can it truly be a legendary artefact capable of bestowing godhood?

Look out for this series next year. ^_^
