Old Nate and Jack concept art.
In the first concept Jack was supposed to be one of the most evil witch falling in love with the most righteous hunter.
The story was called "Hunt" and it centered on their relationship. More a story about love than about friendship.

Yooo, I thought you were showing us the future before I read the description. A future where Jack became an powerful evil witch and Nate became a famous witch hunter, and they've become the bitter ex towards each other. Lol, I have too much imagination.
