"What are you saying General? How do you intend to stop the Federation?" Asks Farron.

"We have plans for a weapon. A weapon that is indestructible. A self repairing weapon that can recover from any form of damage. With one shot from it, the federation will annihilated before they knew what happened." Says General Anderson, pointing at each planet associated with the federation.

"You can't do this! Destroying entire planets?! You'll be putting the lives of billions at risk! If you were to go through with this, this will lead to the destruction of the republic itself!" Farron says angrily.

"Don't make me laugh Farron. You think this alliance means anything to humanity. Every human on Earth yearns for the day we become the dominant species once more. The war back in the twenty-three hundreds was a mere setback. Once the federation is gone, we will restore humanities place in the galaxy." Says General Anderson.

"Once the council finds out about this, the whole galaxy will see this action as a betrayal to liberty and democracy." Says Farron with rage in his eyes.

"If the council finds out. Luckily, they never will. Hate to do this Farron but orders are orders." Says General Anderson as his pulls out a gun and points it at Farron.

Just then, a shot rings out from across the room. Blood stains Farrons face as he sees General Anderson collapse to the ground, a hole burnt through his head. Farron turns and sees Jack with a smoking gun in his hand. Before he could get a word out, Jack grabs the tech and escorts Farron out of the building. Republic soldiers notice Jack and Farron running and open fire upon them. Jack fires a few shots back at the troops as Jack and Farron get inside the humpback. The humpback closes its doors as it begins to take of.

"You could've given me a heads up you know." Says Farron, trying to catch his breath.

"He would've known what we were up to. Plus, I perfer to go for the dramatics." Says Jack, cracking a shit eating grin.

"Mr. Rider! The charges have been set." Says a member of the crew before handing Jack a detonator.

"Captain. Sit back and watch the fireworks." Jack says as he presses the button on the detonator.

As the humpback exits the atmosphere, explosions go off all across the republic base. Jack and Farron watch as republic workers and soldiers scramble to figure out the source of the explosions, thinking it was a federation attack. Jack and Farron take a sigh of relief knowing that they managed to escape. Knowing that they are now targets of the republic, Farron gets up and explains to the crew about the weapon that the republic were going to make using the tech. The crew was taken aback by the idea of such a weapon. Knowing what must be done, the crew all side with Captain Farron to ensure the tech doesn't fall into the wrong hands.

Back on Earth, reports of the explosions are broadcasted across the galaxy. The crew of the humpback are branded as traitors to the republic.The idea that one of the republics most respected soldiers would attack a republic base set shock waves throughout the galaxy. As for motive, speculations as to a possible motive spreads throughout the galaxy. Most believe that the humpback crew were actually working for the federation while others think that they were sent by the crimson storm. Back in space, the mercenary group lead by Ryan Hunter arrives at Earth and intercepts the humpback. Ryan turns off the news report and prepares to confront the humpback and its crew. Ryan's desire to kill Jack has grown stronger since they're last encounter.

"Better start counting the minutes Jack because I'm going to finish what they started. This will be your last flight." Ryan says as he enters the falcon.
