"Hold on tight!" Mortimer shouted, adjusting the speed as they navigated the twisting tunnel. The bioluminescent fungi along the walls flickered as they passed, casting eerie shadows that felt straight out of a cheesy horror movie. 

Just as they rounded a bend, Alex heard a loud crash behind them. The Tunnel Wrecker had followed them into the tunnel, its massive body squeezing through the opening. The vehicle jolted as Mortimer swerved to avoid a pile of dirt the creature had dislodged in its pursuit. "Great, just what I needed—a personal escort from a glorified badger!" Alex thought, bracing himself for whatever chaos lay ahead. 

"Why does everything in this world want to eat us?" Alex exclaimed, half in disbelief and half in exhilaration. 

"Welcome to the life of a worm, my friend!" Mortimer replied, a hint of humor in his voice despite the chaos. "Just keep your head down and let me do the driving! I promise I won't turn you into worm stew!"
