Bryson thought of Austin as he walked towards the elevator, missing him dearly because of his loyalty and hard work over the past five years. He hoped his new PA would be even better. He pressed the button, entered the elevator, and watched as the doors closed. Almost immediately, they opened again, and Bryson saw the lady who had bumped into him the other day.

"Why do I keep meeting this pretty fool?" he groaned inwardly, quickly turning away from her. He saw her smiling and then heard her sweet voice.

"Good morning, I guess you're one of the newly employed workers, right?" Bryson scoffed at this, glaring at her. "How dare she refer to me as a mere employee?" he thought.

"You jerk, I'm trying to be nice to you, so don't take it for granted," he heard her say again, and he chuckled at her foolishness.

He was glad to see the elevator door opening and quickly rushed to his office. As he was about to start the day's work, he saw the lady rushing into his office. He was mad and furious to see her again.

"What do you want?" he yelled at her, stunned to see her startled, almost falling to the floor. Bryson thought of his new PA and his eyes widened in shock.

"Don't tell me you're my new PA?" he asked, not wanting to believe what was happening.

Mia was so terrified that she wished the floor would open and swallow her to avoid this humiliation and embarrassment.

"You're the CEO?" she stuttered, her voice almost coming out in a whisper. Bryson nodded, staring at her in disbelief. Mia was too stunned, becoming mute for a while. She walked closer to Bryson and fell on her knees, sobbing quietly.

"I'm sorry, boss. I'm so sorry. Please forgive my foolishness," she cried out helplessly, her face facing the floor in shame.

Bryson saw the cute lady shedding tears and chuckled, then quickly put on a stern look and maintained his cold voice.

"What a rude PA! Unbelievable. Anyway, I need an explanation for your lateness on your first day," Bryson said icily.

"I'm so sorry, sir. I promise it won't repeat itself," Mia cried.

"Of course, it won't, because the next time you try this with me, you're going to be fired," he yelled, asking her to stand up, which she did immediately. Bryson smiled inwardly, seeing the nervous, pretty woman.

"Your name again?" he asked coldly.

"Mia Miller, sir," Mia replied fearfully.

"So, Mia, I want you to listen carefully to me. Being my PA requires a lot. You are in charge of all my schedules, meetings, and the likes. I don't tolerate late coming, and..." Bryson continued to rant on as Mia was getting tired of his strict rules and regulations. "That's all I have to say, so get to work now," she heard him say, and she sighed in relief, moving to her desk to start the day's work.

Mason sat down lazily in the swivel chair in his office, smoking and drinking without even taking a glance at the piled-up documents in front of him.

"Who cares? Anyway, this is not the life I chose. I'm just living for my mom," he said nonchalantly, gulping down the beer in his glass.

His door slid open, and his PA, Harrison, entered, looking tensed and nervous. Mason only took a glance at him and turned away.

"Sir, there's a problem," Harrison said fearfully.

"What the hell is it again?" Mason yelled.

"The first problem..." Harrison was saying when Mason cut in angrily.

"So, it's not even one."

"Yes, boss, the first problem is that the project we carried out last week was a fake one, which made us lose a lot of money, and the company might go bankrupt. Secondly, CEO Bryson has gotten a new PA, a young and beautiful one at that," Harrison said.

"Just shut the hell up, you idiot. Why didn't you confirm the project before carrying it out? You're playing with your job, you nonentity," Mason bellowed.

"I'm sorry, boss, but I gave you a document concerning it, but you didn't check it out before ordering us to carry out the project," Harrison said, staring at the piled-up documents on Mason's desk.

Mason was dark with rage as he spoke angrily.

"You idiot, now you're trying to shift the blame. Wow, you've got some nerves."

"No, boss, I would never do that. I'm just stating the fact," Harrison said, sighing in frustration.

Mason was so furious that he removed his shoe and hurled it at Harrison, who dodged it and ran out of the office.

"That fool!" Mason shouted angrily, clenching his fists.

He was still lost in thought when his mother barged into his office. The sound of her heels almost pulled the office down because she was walking in annoyance. Mason rumpled his hair as he tried to avoid his mother's hot gaze.

"You this useless, reckless son! You are so dumb and naive," she yelled.

"No, mum, not again. You can't do this in the office. We can sort things out at home," Mason said, sitting down tiredly.

Brianna was so furious that she ran up to him and dragged his tie roughly as she continued yelling.

"You nincompoop, you are a disgrace to the Tyler's family. You idiot, how could you invest in a fake project? Now the company is the talk of the town. You've brought nothing but shame and disgrace. Look at your miserable life. You are smoking and drinking at work when you're supposed to be working on those documents you piled up. Why can't you just be like Bryson? He's got the brains like your father, but you decided to be stupid."

"Yes, mum, I can never be like Bryson, because I'm not him. I am who I am. You can never change me, so get that into your thick skull," he retorted angrily.

His furious mum was shocked beyond imagination as she slapped him angrily, and Mason thought he was struck by lightning.

"You are a nobody, a dumb fool," she shouted, already blinded with fury.

"Well, thanks to you, I've become a nobody. This is not my fucking dream. I've been living my life to please you since I was born, but from now on, I refuse to dance to your stupid tune. You are so greedy, mum," Mason shouted back at her.

He stormed out of the office in annoyance, looking haggard, his hair disheveled, his tie roughly placed, and only one shoe on his leg. People at the company stared at him in disbelief. They giggled and gossiped about him. He glared at those staring at him and ran out of the company like a lunatic.
