Though Okami relayed to Seraphina that the hybrids were fine, she couldn't help but still be concerned. A memory of the three as the young kids she met once many years ago came to mind. Of course, they were not kids anymore, but that didn't stop her from thinking of them that way from time to time.
Time really does fly by, she thought. "Please be safe, Angels. I don't want to lose you three."
Her love and care did not fall on deaf ears. Hero smiled, reassuringly.
"You won't lose us, Seraphina," he said. He then smiled that confident smile with Risika and Okami smiling as well. "We're stronger than we look, remember?"
She paused then smiled warmly.
"Yes," she answered. She then got protective, cracking her knuckles with her aura rippling. "But if those demons lay one claw on you, I'll-"
"We'll be fine, Seraphina," Okami replied.
As dawn rose over Funhouse, a man with long black hair tied in a loose ponytail looked down in the graveyard attraction. A poker card depicting an angel with a sickle was left with 'A.O.D.' written on the sides. An angel feather was resting on top of the card. This was just the first warning, the first bang of the war drum. The man was unfazed at the message. He did not scare easily.
"So...you've left your mark," he said to the hybrids to wherever they were. Indeed, a challenge was set and a battle was brewing. The question then became: who would be the victor of this deadly game? Indeed, game on.
After a hundred years in sleep, three hybrids of angel and demon awaken with a new mission by the angels they work with: eliminate the demons torturing humans in an amusement park. Sounds easy, right? The demons aren't the only threats in the park, however, and will our trio be prepared to find out who's really running the show?
(This is a novelized version of my manga of the same name. Please feel free to check it out as well!)
