Moments later, a small rabbit approached the piece and took a bite.
“If you remember, the witch wanted to feed Hansel and Gretel to have more meat to eat, if you catch my drift.”
The rabbit eagerly began to devour the piece.
“I know, but I was only going to take a little piece.”
Select raised an eyebrow.
“Only?”
The rabbit ran to the house and continued to eat eagerly. Select and Max realized and looked in astonishment as the rabbit devoured almost without chewing.
“What the hell?” Max was surprised.
“It seems that this candy is addictive, I expected a trick like this.”
Max approached the rabbit and grabbed it, while it tried to escape to keep eating.
“My friend, that’s not good for you.”
The rabbit’s heart beat faster.
“Don’t resist, I’m not going to let go of you…”
The rabbit began to tremble, until it became still.
“What the hell?” Max said, horrified.
Select and Max looked incredulously at the rabbit.
“If you stop eating that candy… it will kill you.”
The two heroes decide to leave, but a noise stops them.
“Help!” shouted a child’s voice from inside the house.
“Someone’s in there.” Max said, before rushing into the house.
“Max, NO!”
Max and Select end up inside the house, and the door tightly shut.
“Damn, it’s a trap!” exclaimed Select.
The child’s voice let out a laugh that slowly turned into a sinister, harsh voice.
“Welcome, dinner,” the Witch greeted them.
“Oh crap, another person who wants to have us for dinner,” Select hesitated.
The Witch approached Select and Max.
“What good specimens.”
“Thank you?”
Select carefully observed the place, taking in every detail.
“Okay, time out,” Select suddenly spoke. “I think we should discuss what’s on the menu for dinner.”
“What?” the Witch responded, confused.
“Of course, maybe you want to make a steak out of Max or a soup out of Select, right?”
“What are you talking about, human?”
“I’m talking about how you clearly haven’t thought about what to cook.”
Select moved slightly as the Witch was confused, approaching the kitchen.
“I can make you a good rice dish, too.”
When he was close enough, he grabbed a saucepan and threw it at the Witch.
She fell backwards.
“Max, get out of the way!”
Select hit the door with such force that it fell to the ground.
“Let’s go!” Select shouted.
They both ran out while the Witch was casting spells at them.
They narrowly dodged them, and lost sight of the witch.
“That was close,” Select calmed down.
“Where have you been?” Kate asked, appearing behind a tree.

From Excalibur to passing through Sleepy Hollow, the dangers will not end for Select and company.
