In the morning, Johnny’s mom dropped him off at the café so he could meet Nichole and the other goth kids. He had one hour to discuss the problem before his mom picked him up.
Nichole had the copies with her and handed to Johnny.
Johnny explained the thing that happened to Mr. Samson and him. He also explained what the creatures were.
“This is horrible what happened to you and Mr. Samson. I'm so sorry I made you go to the cemetery and summon some demon." Said Nichole feeling guilty.
"It's alright, Nichole. I didn't think this would actually work. I thought it was something that we were doing for fun, and that's all. Said Johnny.
"So if it is true and not our imagination,. How we able to defeat them if there are many of them?" Asked the goth guy skeptically.
"We need to meet before the sundown and bring some flashlights, candles, lanterns, or anything that is super bright. When they try to attack. We will turn it on superfast in their faces and chant the spell fast to cast them out.
"Why don't you ask your grandma to help if she knows more about them?" Asked the goth guy.
"You saw what happened to Mr. Samson. Since he is a fragile old man, he was an easy target for them. Imagine what would they do to our parents or other people we care about. You saw that they stalked and intimidated you while I was in the hospital. They want us to use that evil book to do their bidding. I'm assuming this book was written by their master, and he wants out of hell. We are the ones that used this book, and now we must have the responsibility to cast them out them out without other people getting hurt. "Said Johnny.
"You are the one who brought this cursed book. So I think you should be the one that clean this mess!" Shouted the goth guy, freaking out.
Johnny felt guilty on bringing the book
"Stop it, Jason! It was my fault; Johnny didn't want to do this, but I pressured him to go to the cemetery! Argued Nichole.
Jason went quiet and didn't say anything
Nichole and the others went through the pages she brought and found the page they previously used.
"If this page is where we used to summon them, then there should be something to cast them back." Said Johnny.
The group found a page to open the portal of the dead. They also found a page that makes a circle, so the spirits won't get them.
"Will this actually work?" asked another goth girl.
"Not sure, but I don't think we have a choice anymore." Said Nichole.
They all agree to meet today and Nichole would gather the supplies for the spell since Johnny cannot go anywhere without his mom.
The hour had quickly passed, and Johnny headed to the car and went home. He anticipated and waited, but time seemed to act slowly. He wondered and prayed that the spell would work.
School would be starting next week, he wonders, even if the spell works. Would Nichole ever speak to him again after this scenario? He still felt guilty and wished he had listened to Chris, so he threw the book in the trash.
When it was dinner time, Johnny was ready for his foolish plan. He announced that he didn't felt good at all and will be going to bed early. Chris followed to talk to him.
"Bro, you have been acting strange for weeks. Is something wrong? You know I won't tell Mom and Dad. You can tell me anything and I can give you advice" Said Chris.
"Nothing is wrong, Chris. I will feel better when we go back to school next week, okay?" Said Johnny.
"What did Mr. Samson tell you? "Chris demanded to know the answer.
"He didn't say anything I didn't told you, okay?" Lied Johnny.
"Oh really? Once you met him, you immediately went to your room to look for the book and then asked weird questions to Grandma." Said Chris.
"Yeah so? Nichole wanted to see the book again." Lied Johnny.
"You are a bad liar, Johnny. By the way, I found the book, but I won't give it to you since you are losing your mind and seeing things." Said Chris.
"You do?! Well, give it to me, please, Chris. I will explain everything later. This is urgent!" Begged Johnny.
"No, Bro, you are unwell and need some help. The attack with the guy messed with your brain even more, and I will be telling Mom and Dad about this now!" Said Chris.
"Wait-"
Chris immediately ran toward his room to grab the book.
Johnny knew he didn't have much time, and he had to meet his friends before his parents would restrict him, and it would be too late.
Johnny locked his door. He grabbed his backpack, climbed into his window, jumped off the roof, grabbed his bike, and paddled quickly.
Chris grabbed the book and showed the book to the family. Grandma and Grandpa were shocked. Mom and Dad were confused on what was that.
"Where did you get this?" Asked Grandma.
"We found this in the attic; Johnny is losing his mind. This book scared him, and now he is seeing things. I'm worried about him," said Chris.
Mom and Dad immediately went to Johnny's room and knocked on the door to ask him what's going on.
But there were no answers. Dad demanded Johnny open the door, but there was still no answer.
Mom and Dad Quickly went to the garage to find some tools to open the door.
"Chris, you must tell me everything!" Said Grandma.
Chris quickly explained on how he found the book and how Johnny and the goth group used it on some ritual in the cemetery.
Dad found the tools and opened the door and found the room was empty.
"He isn't here! We must go out and look for him!" Cried Mom.
"You will stay here and call everyone we know! And we need someone to stay here just in case he comes back!" Said Dad.
“No, I will go, and you stay here.” Said mom.
“Alright.” Said Dad.
"Grandpa and Mom went to their cars and drove toward the town, and Grandma and Chris drove toward the cemetery."
"Chris, Johnny isn't seeing things. He is telling the truth. Those creatures are real. They were your great-grandfather's enemy and mine." Said Grandma.
