In the cool ocean breeze in the summer of 1990 in New Hampshire, Johnny stepped on the sandy shores of the beach, enjoying listening to the waves brushing the rocks.

He also enjoyed looking at the old lighthouse and boats passing by.

“Finally, middle school is over; this September I will be entering my first year of high school, and I am a man now.”

"I need to get a girlfriend before I enter school, and I have two months to get one". Johnny thought in his head.

Suddenly, he heard footsteps crunching on the sand. It was his brother, Chris, who was angry and mumbling toward himself.

“Guess what Johnny?”

"You know, the firecracker fiasco with Mr. Samson’s truck last week? "

"Guess who gets most of the blame?"

"Even though it’s Derrick who started the fireworks when we ran, He saw you and me. Mr. Samson saw us and called Mom!

“You know, I wasn't even close to you guys; I was walking and passing by and saw both of you running. And you grabbed me to run with you. Why am I getting the blame? "Johnny exclaimed angrily.

”Well, it doesn't matter now, since our summer is going to be shit anyway. Mom and Dad are giving both of us the choice to work for Mr. Samson in his hardware shop selling his rusty tools to pay for his busted truck or catch smelly fish and smell like one with Dad!" Chris exclaimed.

"WELL, because of you, my summer is ruined, and I won’t have a chance to get a girlfriend before entering the first year of high school!" Johnny yelled at Chris.

Chris came up with an idea to convince Mom and Dad not to only punish him.

"Listen, little bro, no chick wants a good little boy like you; you need to take the blame as much as I do, and everyone in this boring ass town will know that you blew up Mr. Samson’s car."
