Kas pushed through the door, Noah clinging to his neck, their mouths starving as they consumed each other. He slammed it shut, lifting Noah into his arms as he threw his jacket to the floor, kicking his boots off as he went. Noah kicked his own shoes off, yanking his shirt over his head before retaking Kas’ mouth, his tongue going in as deep as it could go. Kas was aiming for the bed but got Noah up against the wall instead, making them both laugh.
“Oops,” Kas said, grinning against his mouth.
“Take me here, then,” Noah breathed, his mouth moving down to Kas’ throat, nipping at the skin, making it prickle.
Kas’ breath hitched and he worked Noah’s pants off as quickly as he could, Noah’s own deft fingers undoing Kas’ jeans, shoving them down and taking him in hand, eliciting a sharp moan. There was a bottle of lube in the room, but Noah managed to bring it over with a tendril of energy, squeezing some into Kas’ hand while they continued to kiss, never once breaking.
Kas didn’t hesitate, his fingers going into Noah with ease, making him cry out as Kas worked him. He dipped his head into Kas’ shoulder, breathing raggedly against his skin. “Hurry,” he whispered. “I need you.”
Kas chuckled. “Impatient much?”
“Only for you.”
Kas’ heart flipped. He loved and hated when Noah said things like that. It only made it that much more painful when he left. Right now, however, Noah was here and Kas wasn’t letting go.
“My Noah,” he breathed, removing his fingers and placing himself against his hole. He braced himself against the wall as he pushed into Noah, the angel shuddering in his arms as he held him tighter, his head going back as Kas moved within him, his mouth going to Noah’s nipple, teasing and sucking as Noah held his head, breathing his name over and over.
He squeezed his thighs around Kas’ hips, Kas taking him in hand, stroking him, pressing the tip, bringing him dangerously close to his own release. Noah bit his lip, not wanting to cum yet, but unable to hold back. His body shuddered as he spilled into Kas’ hand, his hips moving relentlessly against his cock.
“Cum,” he breathed. “Cum in me, Kas.”
“Say it,” Kas said, his voice raspy. “Say I’m yours.”
Noah moaned, pressing the side of his face to Kas’. “My Kas. Only mine.”
With a few more hard thrusts, Kas came, shuddering as he groaned, his head against Noah’s chest, listening and feeling his heart race against him. He wrapped one arm around Noah’s body, his skin soft and cool, his smell intoxicating.
He should have kept his mouth shut. He should have just put Noah down and poured them a drink like he always did.
“Noah,” he said, his voice low, the tone of possessiveness invading his thoughts. “I don’t want you sleeping with anyone else.”
Noah stiffened in his arms.
“If you do, and I find out,” he swallowed, his fingers pressing firmly into Noah’s side. “I’ll kill them.”
Noah said nothing, but his waves said everything. He released Kas’ neck, pushing on his shoulders. Kas looked up, not even fazed by the coldness he saw in those gorgeous ruby red eyes.
“You’re mine, Noah. You belong to me.”
“I don’t belong to anyone,” Noah snapped. “Not even you.”
Kas stepped back, slipping from Noah, the latter unwinding himself from Kas’ body. “Noah—”
“How is that fair, Lukas?”
Strannick flinched at the name. Noah rarely, if ever called him that.
“I can’t fuck around, but you can?”
“You don’t let me!” Strannick rounded on him, buttoning his pants. “Everytime I try to move on, find someone else, you show up and end it. Gods forbid I do the same for you.”
Noah glared at him, gritting his teeth as he scooped up his pants, shoving his legs through. “I do what I have to for my job, you know that.”
“And that includes getting into relationships and letting any random asshole fuck you?”
“I don’t get into relationships, Lukas. And I don’t let just anyone fuck me.” Noah grabbed his shirt, pulling it over his head, flipping his hair as he did so.
“Does Havik know what you do?”
Noah froze, glancing back at Strannick, his ruby eyes blazing. “Excuse me?”
“You say you’re one of his most trusted people, Kayla’s favorite little flower.” He stepped toward Noah, closing the gap between them. “I wonder, just how much trust they’d put in you,” he leaned close, his lips close to Noah’s ear, “if they knew how much of a slut you really are.”
Noah slapped him so hard, his head jerked to the side. His eyes slid back to Noah, hard and broken, refusing to allow the hurt that filled the younger man’s eyes affect him. “Fuck you,” Noah breathed, his breath hitching in his throat.
“That’s all we ever do, Noah,” Strannick said, swallowing down the lump in his throat. “You show up out of the blue, wreck any relationship I get into, then take off to go fuck someone else.”
“That’s not true!”
“Prove me wrong, then!” Strannick bellowed. “You tell me I’m yours, that I only belong to you, then turn right around and let me know through our awesome little link, who’s bedding you not weeks or months later. How is that supposed to make me feel, Noah? Tell me!”
Noah gulped, his eyes swimming with tears he didn’t want to let fall. “I hate you,” he whispered.
Strannick clenched his fists as he rocked back on his heels. “Finally.”
Noah backed up to the door. “If that’s really how this is going to be, if you really want me to stay out of your life…” a small sound escaped his throat and he bit his lip, his chin trembling. “Then that’s what I’ll do.”
Strannick hid the searing pain behind the wall he had built in their link. He was tired of Noah’s constant coming and going, he was tired of being used and treated like he was nothing more than a convenience. He couldn’t say what he should, Noah would never forgive him if he did. He’d already complicated things when he kissed him several years ago.
“Stay,” Kas said, his voice hoarse. “Or go. Those are your options. I’m tired of this, Noah. I’m tired of you showing up when you want to, and leaving without a word. You get my hopes up, make me think you want me, that I really am yours. And now, the one time, the one fucking time, I ask you to hold true to that, you can’t.” He turned away, running his hand through his hair, letting it rest on the crown of his head. “Stop hurting me, Noah. I can’t take it anymore.”
He could feel the turmoil in Noah’s soul, sense the conflicting emotions he couldn’t bother to hide. He was hesitating, making it hurt even more. He dropped his arm. “Then just go.”
“Fine,” Noah said, his voice barely above a whisper. “You get your wish. I’ll stay out of your life for good this time.” The crack in his voice cut deep into Kas’ heart.
“Good.”
Noah was gone, the door slamming behind him one final time.
Strannick dropped to the floor, and screamed.
