In the **Tianji Stone Chamber**, Renault realized that the person before him couldn’t be a stranger. He respectfully bowed and greeted, "Disciple greets Master."
Renault was astonished. A year had passed since he had become a disciple, yet this was the first time his master revealed his true form. Could something important be happening? He couldn’t help but speculate.
"You’ve been in this sect for some time now, but you don’t know my title. Today, I shall tell you. Remember well, I am **Yu Zhenzi**, the head of **Tianji Sect**," Yu Zhenzi spoke with a mysterious aura, as though he had more secrets to reveal.
Renault was stunned. He had always assumed his master was an elderly man, perhaps even someone expelled from the sect. But to his utter shock, his master was a young-looking man and, more importantly, the head of the Tianji Sect! This revelation left Renault speechless.
"Feng'er, have you completed the task I gave you when you went down the mountain?" Yu Zhenzi asked casually. It wasn’t clear whether he was disinterested or already knew the outcome.
Renault smiled faintly. "Master, your disciple did not fail. The task is complete." From his belt, Renault took out the ten horns, including the special horn from the Centipede Beast boss. He couldn’t store them in his system’s inventory, lest his master became suspicious.
Yu Zhenzi nodded as he accepted the horns, his gaze lingering on the boss horn for a moment.
Although his expression didn’t change, he was inwardly surprised. He recognized the horn as belonging to a Spirit Gathering-level beast. If he hadn’t witnessed Renault’s battle abilities firsthand, it would have been hard to believe that his disciple, still in the Opening the Spiritual Path stage, could slay such a beast.
"You did well on this mission," Yu Zhenzi praised, then added, "Now step aside. I will use these horns to forge a **spiritual sword** for you. Watch closely—it will benefit your future in refining weapons."
Renault stepped back, eager to finally receive a usable weapon. His system quests never rewarded equipment, only items and reputation.
At that moment, the system chimed:
**"Player Renault has completed the spiritual cultivation quest and successfully advanced to the mid-stage of Opening the Spiritual Path."**
- **Thousand Apparitions Hand** (A complex hand technique using spiritual energy. Speed becomes invisible. Each use consumes 200 MP.)
Renault saw that although his experience was maxed out at level 10, he couldn’t advance to level 11 unless he broke through to the **Spirit Gathering** stage.
He also noticed that the **Thousand Apparitions Hand** consumed a lot of MP. However, mastering this technique to the **Grandmastery** level had been crucial for surviving the previous fight. Without it, he would have died in the bamboo shard storm.
With renewed focus, Renault turned his attention to Yu Zhenzi, who was preparing to forge the spiritual sword. Unlike ordinary swords, spiritual swords were crafted from the materials of spirit beasts or spirit stones, enhanced by spiritual energy. Their power far surpassed that of mundane weapons.
Yu Zhenzi waved his hand, and a massive furnace appeared out of thin air. This furnace was different from what Renault was familiar with, its design specific to weapon crafting.
The furnace resembled a large double-eared cauldron, except it had a large hole in the center with numerous hidden compartments.
Yu Zhenzi activated the furnace with his spiritual energy, and immediately, a raging fire erupted inside. He threw in a spirit stone, intensifying the heat.
Once the spirit stone melted, Yu Zhenzi tossed the boss horn into a compartment. As it began to melt, he added the remaining ten horns into another compartment for refinement.
When the melted materials were ready, Yu Zhenzi used his spiritual energy to mix them. A glowing, intangible hand formed within the furnace, shaping the molten materials into a sword.
The spirit stone formed the core of the sword, ensuring it wouldn’t break, while the horns—renowned for their sharpness—coated the exterior, making the blade capable of slicing through iron effortlessly.
With a swift motion, Yu Zhenzi summoned the sword from the furnace. He blew gently on the glowing blade, causing it to cool instantly.
As the sword hovered in the air, it hummed with power. With a slight movement, Yu Zhenzi demonstrated the sword’s sharpness, its sword aura slicing through the air like countless razor blades.
But the process wasn’t complete. The most crucial step remained—**infusing spiritual energy** into the blade. Without this, the weapon would merely be a sharp sword, not a spiritual sword suitable for cultivators.
Yu Zhenzi gripped the sword by both the blade and hilt, spiritual energy coursing from his hand into the sword.
The blade vibrated violently, as if it might shatter under the pressure. However, after a few tense moments, it stabilized.
Infusing spiritual energy into a weapon was a delicate process. If the energy wasn’t controlled properly, the sword could break. Additionally, if the crafted weapon was of poor quality, it would be unable to withstand the energy infusion.
Finally, the spiritual sword was complete. Even from a distance, Renault could tell this sword was incredibly powerful.
The wind seemed to sing as the sword moved, and the air rippled with each motion, as if being sliced apart by an invisible force. Renault couldn’t wait to wield it. Even though he had better weapons stored in his system’s inventory, they were currently inaccessible.
Yu Zhenzi handed the sword to Renault, who accepted it with both hands, feeling a surge of excitement.
**"Player Renault has obtained a spiritual sword. Please name the sword."** the system prompted.
Renault thought for a moment as the sword hummed lightly in the breeze. He spoke aloud, "Let’s call it **Clear Wind Sword**."
**"Player has successfully named the sword. Reputation increased by 10 points."** the system confirmed.
"Master, you flatter me. No matter how good the name, without your craftsmanship, the sword would be nothing," Renault replied humbly, his words bringing a pleased smile to Yu Zhenzi’s face.
