"It's written on your uniform", groans 901 as he opens the door.
She didn't even notice that they had pulled over.
"Do any of you need anything?", he asks as he takes the woman's wallet.
"You make it sound as if you're the on paying for it", the woman says.
"I am paying, just not with my money", he answers with a smirk on his face.
"Then a donut for me", says the boy.
"Noted. Anything else? Nothing? Perfect", he says as he goes inside to buy some new clothes for himself and the donut.
"I'll take that donut away from you pocket money", the woman claims.
"But uncle is paying for it."
"With my money."
"But he's paying."
"You're getting along a bit too well with him", she says annoyed.
The only reply she got was a shrug.
A few minutes later the man returns in some new clothes and a donut.
"You're sure nobody recognized you?", the woman asks.
"If they did I wouldn't have walked out of there alive."
"Right that's very good and all, but where exactly are you taking me, I'm not exactly a fan of being kidnapped."
"Telling you where we're going doesn't change the fact that you're being kidnapped", the man says as they get back on the highway.
"It would make me feel more at ease?"
"You're not here to feel at ease."
"And I'm the rude one?", the boy asks the woman with a raised eyebrow.
"He doesn't know any better."
"What's that supposed to mean?", the man inquires offended.
"Exactly what I said. Don't take it to heart you have other good qualities."
"Like what?", the boy asks interested.
"Just eat your donut, will you?", the woman responds.
´What am I watching?`
Honestly if only she didn't take this god damn job, she should've known something like this were to happen. After all she works for him as well.
"How long are we going to take this thing with us?", asks the man pointing at Lilian.
"Have you forgotten the promise you made to me, Cesar?", the woman asks annoyed.
"Fine I'll stop. How about you properly introduce the kid to me, I still don't even know his name."
"-Sigh- That's Silas, he's my son. You probably know him as-"
"Since when do you have a kid?! Did that bastard touch you? I swear-"
"Relax, he's not my biological son. It just so happened that he escaped together with me."
"Oh."
"Escaped?", asks Lilian surprised.
Now it all makes sense, the reason he started to place people who used to know her everywhere. He wanted to find her, but why did she run away? She had everything anyone could've ever wanted there.
"Wait does that mean he's?", Cesar asks pointing at Silas.
She nods, a small smile on her face. He hadn't changed at all in the past three years they hadn't seen each other.
"No wonder he went crazy", Cesar mumbles his hand covering his mouth.
"Just because he went crazy doesn't mean he stopped using his brain."
"You don't mean?"
"What else could I mean? I just don't understand why he would take such a risk."
"Right mind filling us in?", asks Lilian looking at the boy who's just as confused as her.
"It's nothing you have to know", she says staring at the window.
~I'll make it right again, no matter how much time it takes. So 'till then endure it please.~
"Then why am I even here, why didn't you just kill me?", she exclaims.
"I don't kill people just because", Marianne says.
"Right you let him do all the dirty things", she sneers.
Suddenly Marianne pulls over and turns around her finger directly in her face.
"Say that again", she says her voice cold as ice.
It's obvious Lilian had hit a nerve, but even she knew better than to open her mouth. The atmosphere in the car was extremely uncomfortable. Just when she thinks Marianne's about to kill her Silas says something breaking the silence.
"Jasmine will be home soon and we still have to give back the car you lent."
"Right", Marianne says bringing the car back on the highway, but her cheerful expression from before was gone.
Soon they arrived at the apartment where Marianne dropped them off before bringing the car back to the person they lent it from.
Jasmine was also back home by then.
"Come on in, Marianne told me you'll be staying with us for some time until you find a place to rent here", Jasmine says welcoming them.
"Thank you", Cesar says keeping an eye on the freed Lilian.
They had to take of the ropes as to not look suspicious.
Upstairs all of them got to take a shower and Jasmine brought them clean clothes.
"Dinner will be in half an hour so please make yourselves comfortable until then", Jasmine tells them after they got ready.
Silas directly jumps on the couch and picks up one of the comics lying on the ground meanwhile Lilian sits down across from him carefully observing everything.
Cesar quietly tells Silas to keep an eye on her before he goes into the bathroom and locks the door.
There he rolls up his pants to reveal the bullet wound. Blood is sickering through the bandages, although a lot slower than before.
Carefully he washes his hands and disinfects them, then he tries to pull out the bullet to no avail.
Marianne quietly knocks on the bathroom door and gives him some pain medicine before she locks the door again and starts cutting out the bullet. Even with numbed senses it hurts like hell as she pulls the bullet out and starts sewing the wound shut.
It's been a long time since she last treated wounds like these, but by now she's gotten used to the blood and the feeling of bare flesh under her fingers.
After treating the wound both of them come out just to see that dinner's ready. Lilian and Silas have already started to eat, even though Lilian still looks at the food as if it could suddenly come alive and try to kill her.
After years of being isolated from everyone Silas finally escapes. But now that he's free he doesn't know what to do and his pursuers are starting to close in. Will he be able to fully escape or will he lose everything while trying, even his own life?
"Who are you?", asks the confused and scared voice.
The dark being in front of him smiles at him with that horrendous smile, that he despises more than anything else.
"Can't you see it? I am you."
