The school year was officially over and unsurprisingly I failed my year. Following that, the meeting between my mother and the prefect was fast approaching.
So I accompanied my mother to this meeting, since classes were over. Unsurprisingly, the prefect mentioned all my faults, even the imaginary ones. Surprisingly, my mother took my defense. I was quite surprised, knowing the situation. The prefect did not seem happy but I was. Not because my mother had taken my defense, but because I was finally rid of this school. Because yes, the prefect is sending me away for unjustified absence. I was not interested in the excuse. I just hope that soon or later he will suffer as I suffered.
A few days later, I received a call for an interview for a summer job. Since the school holidays had started, I was starting to live again slightly and feel slightly better. I still had trouble eating, but at least the vomiting had stopped. I got the job and I was very happy about it.
It was finally my first day, I was very stressed. When I arrived in front of the restaurant where I was hired, I had an anxiety attack. I still took my courage in both hands and forced myself to go inside. Surprisingly, the day went really well.
I worked for a whole month, and I met great people. I loved this job so much and worked so passionately that they took me on for another month. Thanks to that I started to gain weight again, the weight I lost because of this whole horrible year. My anxiety attacks had completely disappeared. I even thought about stopping my studies to be able to work here permanently. Unfortunately, the decision was not coming to me, because my parents were very authoritarian and did not let me decide anything. So I found a new school and have to go there in September.
I obviously saw Aria several times this summer and it went really well. We got closer again because at the end of the year it wasn't really like usual anymore. We celebrated her birthday together too and I tasted alcohol for the first time. Let's just say I ended up dancing the Macarena in the middle of the terrace. But let's skip that episode!
This chapter marks the end of the first volume of Chronicles Fates. I sincerely hope you enjoyed this first volume because it's not the last time you'll see Noah again! On that note, I'll see you soon!
