the ninth zone. Mimi took a breather. behind her were many slime remains scattered all over the floor. her sword was clean though, practically spotless.

she was a bit out of energy, but she was smiling. she had finally adjusted to her power once again. now, if things went as she expected, the next fight should be a breeze.

she entered the tenth zone. the moment her foot landed, the ceiling opened up, and slimes fell from the opening. in total, 10 of them. they didn't attack her, instead they started to glow and gather together, something Mimi clearly noticed.

"not on my watch!" with a step, she dashed forward. in one smooth motion, she cut into the slime with a quick slash, and the slime's core was separated into two pieces. this caused the other slimes to stop glowing, and they began to head towards her.

with their operation stopped, Mimi was at ease. she easily dealt with the remaining slimes and soon was finished dealing with them. she took a few breaths, then stepped forward into what she assumed was the eleventh zone. instead, this time the floor near her opened up, and there was a button. next to the button was a vial of mana potion.

Mimi didn't press the button and instead didn't hesitate to pick up the mana potion. she felt her energy be completely refilled again, and felt relieved. she looked at the button once more, then turned around and ignored it, moving on to the next zone.

the moment she stepped into the eleventh zone, the previous zones were blocked by a wall. she wasn't surprised by this, and kept walking forward. she then stopped, and drew her sword. 10 brown slimes, like the ones from the previous area, dropped from the ceiling, and a blue slime dropped from above too. the blue slime began to glow, and mana gathered into a ball in front of it. meanwhile, the other slimes gathered together while glowing.

Mimi wanted to stop the other slimes from gathering, but the blue slime shot the mana ball at her. in midair, it turned into a ball of water hurtling at her. Mimi had to focus on it. she took a stance and breathed slowly.

her sword glowed slightly with a green hue. she dashed at the water ball coming at her, and slashed through it. with that, the slime's water ball fell apart back into mana without harming her. making use of the remaining momentum she had, she slashed at one of the brown slimes. however, her momentum fell short, and she missed. she fell into a roll, but the slimes had already gathered.

with a bright light, they began to combine into one huge slime. Mimi held her sword tighter unconsciously. her wings extended a little, and her gaze was focused on the huge slime. her mana began to visibly distort the air, until...

a water ball came flying at her, disrupting her concentration. she hurriedly dodged to the side, and her concentration was broken. her wings furled up once more. in annoyance, she decided to deal with the blue slime first.

she dashed towards the slime, aiming to kill it in one blow. suddenly, the ground was covered in a large shadow. she looked up, and saw the huge brown slime falling towards her. her eyes widened, but the slime was quickly descending. the blue slime was way out of range, so it was fine.

she had a sudden idea, but she had no time to consider if it was feasible. she stopped where she was, and stabbed her sword into the ground. her eyes glowed as she focused on the blue slime.
