This man was Sel Writes, he is from a race that is known as the human being. He staggered around as if he were drunk while holding his head when he experienced his lightheadedness. He stumbled from trees to boulders, to cliffs, catching himself and preventing himself from falling. He murmured in agony moaning and groaning, "Oh, what the hell is wrong with me? Why can't I walk straight?"
His surroundings blended, as he saw doubles of his atmosphere. The cliffs and boulders of the area were made of coral coated with moss and seaweed. The ground was made of stone and seashells, though the ground was rough, some pits were made of sand and grind of dirt that rain and shore water filled up forming puddles on the rough surface. The trees of the area were a different sight, they had trunks of palm trees with bark peeling off their trunks but the leaves of the trees were of seaweed. The trunks of the trees were a greyish brown, while the seaweed hung over and had a greyish-green hue to them. Within the puddles of water long grass hung over and cattails grew together as if were close friends.
The ocean waves rolled in the rough terrain flooding the area only to be met with the ocean once again. Small lizards, frogs, and rodents retreated from the waves when they rolled in on the shore and the sight of Sel. While insects buzzed around him and the pools of water that the ocean made in the pits, the ocean waves submerged Sel's ankles. They were cold, yet his feet hurt from the hard terrain. A chill formed at his feet and raced up his body and he started to shiver as his clothes were still soaked from the ocean. Seagulls flocked the area circling the air as the stench of fish filled the air. However, the seagulls had a brown tone to them, yet they still acted like seagulls.
Despite the circling birds in the sky and the different colors, this didn't catch Sel's sight. At first, he thought it was a rock, until a seagull landed by it. What Sel saw, filled him with fear, but also amazement. The rock almost as big as his forearm reached over and snapped the seagull's neck. The rock was a crab and its hard shell blended in the coral and rocks of the rough terrain. The crab hissed, causing a grinding sound as if it were grinding stones together. Even though it blended into the environment, the crab began to strip and eat the gull. It was disturbing, yet interesting to watch this crab have his meal.
Sel watched in amazement but also reconsidered the possibility of staying the night here, as he didn't know if these crabs were hostile, or if they were just hungry. Sel did see a pathway that led out of this Coral-like beach, and he didn't want to witness firsthand if the crabs were hostile or not. Even though Sel saw the pathway, he took the time to notice different materials that also got his mind racing and rotating like gears in an engine.
He spotted tiny spiral seashells, that were thin as needles, Sticks that were sturdy and rough, that were also bendable and durable, and loosened rocks and coral that the crabs moved around to chase the smaller animals, or even prey upon. First Sel, gathered the seaweed that the trees produced and woven then into a thin, fine, wire-like substance. After he was finished weaving them, he tested the wire out by pulling both ends with full force, only to find out it snapped worse than a twig. Sel took a long-winded breath as depression sparked up, he murmured in frustration, "Well, this won't make fishing wire." despite the wire of seaweed snapping he weaved it into something stronger.
Sel finished weaving the seaweed into more of a rope-looking material, yet he set it to the side and started to carve and scrape stones and coral into a sharp refined version. Once finished he tied the rope-like seaweed to the sharp version of stone or coral, while attaching it to the sturdy, rough, and durable sticks, simply making spears.
Though Sel was creating tools for whatever, small animals, the gulls, and even the forearmed crabs watched as they saw this man create tools for his survival. Once Sel finished with the spears he started to gather the other plant-like material like the long grass and cattails. He began to weave them together while collecting the needle-like spiral shells, he set the shells to the side as he continued weaving the seaweed, cattails, and other plant-like material together, making a sack or bag and he tied it together with a stick.
Sel continued to gather materials from seaweed, other plant-like materials, needle-like seashells, stones, and coral, to sticks that were lying on the ground that is when he gathered his spears and tied them to his back while trapping and catching small animals and seagulls. He didn't dare challenge the crabs as their shells were as hard as the stone and the coral around them. As Sel prepared himself for his journey, the sun began to set, showcasing nightfall was around the corner.
