Zenatori follows Hayoku around the school, and Hayoku says,
"Alright, here's your dorm. Take a look around."
Zenatori sets his luggage down and looks around.
"Whoa, this is pretty cool," Zenatori said.
"I know, right? But what's your height and weight? We need it to get you a school uniform." Hayoku said while smiling
"I'm 5'10 and 153 pounds."
"Alright! Your clothes should get here after class. Class starts at 1:00 pm, so until then, you can just chill in here. You also have the first-year classroom 1A."
"Wait, if class starts at 1:00, why did I need to get here at 10:00?" Zenatori said quizzically.
"Good question, anyway, I'll be on my way."
Suddenly, the dorm room slams closed. Zenatori opens the door and says.
"Hey-"
Hayoku is nowhere to be seen. He thought.
"Why is everyone so fast?"
After a few hours of waiting, Zenatori walked to his class. He found the moderately-sized classroom with rows of desks neatly arranged. The air is filled with a low hum of chatter as students settle in, some flipping through textbooks while others casually scroll through their phones. This school seemed relatively unique, which makes sense considering it's about Syneji Artistry. There are very few students, but that could be because of the fact class hasn't started.
"Only nine students, it seems," Zenatori muttered before taking a moment to scan the room, feeling a mix of anticipation and calm before walking into the class.
The teacher notices Zenatori.
"You must be a new student. My name is Aya Mashaka, and I'll be your teacher. You should introduce yourself to the class," she said.
"Me?"
"Yea..?"
Zenatori looks upon the crowd and feels the calm lifting as embarrassment settles in. He thought.
"I have to make this fast before I get too nervous."
All the students eye at Zenatori before he finally says.
"Uhh, I'm Sakatoro Zenatori. I don't really have any hobbies to speak of. Uhm, I guess I still have a lot to do in this school, so it'd be a pleasure to study with you all."
Silence bestows the room. A girl briefly claps for a moment but ceases.
Zenatori tried brushing the scene off.
"Well, where do I sit?" he said.
"You can sit there, next to Akari. Raise your arm, Akari," the teacher said.
The girl raises her arm. Zenatori walks over and sits down. Zenatori looks to his right and sees her mid length brown hair and blue eyes.
As he sat, he was still taken aback by the moment earlier. He could only think,
"That has to be one of the worst introductions in the history of this school. I definitely sounded like an idiot. Why did I awkwardly chuckle at the end???"
Akari acknowledges Zenatori.
"Since you're new, I can tell you about this school and give you a headstart," she said.
"Really?" Zenatori said in slight disbelief
"Yes."
"Why, though?"
"Simply because of the fact that we are most likely gonna do exams together in a group, since you sit right next to me, meaning I'll be forced to be in a group with you."
"I see."
Mashaka continues with her lesson reviewing what went over yesterday.
Zenatori says a few seconds later.
"So, what's your favorite color?"
"I never gave you permission to continue socializing with me."
After a few hours. the bell rang, symbolizing the end of class.
Zenatori gets up from his desk and thinks.
"Man, the teacher was just saying random stuff about syneji artistry, I didn't understand anything. Apparently, there's only one period and it's only 2 hours. But, anyway, I heard this school has a library. I wonder what books they have."
Before Zenatori could walk out the door, Akari said,
"Zenatori."
Zenatori walks with Akari, and they both go to the library. Zenatori sets his stuff down as they sit at a table.
"How long are we gonna be here?" said Zenatori
"Why does that matter. It's not like you have anything better to do, loner."
"Was that being blunt, or just straight disrespect?"
"I believe I was being blunt."
"Do you treat everyone like this?"
"I only treat loners like this."
"C'mon, I just got to this school, give me a break. You don't seem like a social butterfly either."
"What are you insinuating?"
"You, too, seem to be a loner."
"What a lonely child you are. That aside, what questions do you have?"
"Well, what exactly is isotonic force?"
"There are two types, isotonic force and isotonic energy. Isotonic energy represents your physical attributes, while isotonic force is a raw energy that you can use."
"What can you do with isotonic force?"
"I'll go into that when you have a better understanding of syneji artistry. For now, you just need to know the basics of it. Both isotonic force and energy come from the soul."
"What do you mean by that? Metaphorically, or literally?"
"I mean your literal soul, in a metaphysical sense. Your soul is determined by properties such as willpower, determination, and mostly by innate soul strength. If your soul is weakened, so is your isotonic force and energy."
"Woah. How do I know how strong my soul is?"
"Soul strength is pretty hard to explain. You'd know if you have a weak soul or a strong one when the moment comes for it. I myself have a decently strong soul."
"Heh, if those are the only prerequisites, I reckon, I'd be the strongest upcoming syneji artist."
Akari realizes.
"That reminds me, do you know how the divisional grade system works?"
"No."
"You should download the school's app on your phone, it's called Syneji Regiments. It allows you to see everyone's power rankings and what grade they are. Since we are all 1st years, logically we all are going to be in a pretty low division, since we're new to syneji artistry. You are most likely an N-Division since you're new. These divisions are beyond this school and are applied to every existing syneji artist."
"Interesting, well, I'll check it when I get to my dorm."
"Do you have anymore questions?"
"Not really, I'd have to get to know this school more first."
Akari gets up from her seat.
"I suppose that makes sense. You'll have to get more of a better feel of this school before knowing anything else. Well, if you need anything, you can ask me."
She walks away from the table, exiting through the library doors.
Zenatori sits and thinks to himself.
"That was awfully short..."
Zenatori takes a walk in the school after walking out of the library. He looks at his phone after the app downloads, and he logs in as a student. He looks at the 1st year dashboard.
"It seems in this school, students are referred to as Regiments."
Divisional Grade Information:
DM(Divine master) - Division: A title that only a handful of syneji artists learn on the entire planet. Requires absolute mastery in anything isotonic force related, and takes decades to earn. Most people consider this title an unrealistic goal due to the fact that there have only been 10 divine masters in the entire history of syneji artistry.
S-Division(Sacred Master) - Represents the near highest level of mastery, indicating exceptional talent, experience, or unique abilities.
A-Division: A high level of mastery, though not as exceptional as S-Division.
B-Division: A competent level of mastery, demonstrating solid skills and abilities.
C-Division: A basic level of mastery, indicating proficiency in the fundamentals but lacking exceptional talent or experience. Most people start at this Divisional Grade.
G-Division: A beginner or entry-level level of mastery, suggesting limited skills or experience.
N-Division: Represents Normal People, those without any formal training or mastery.

As Zenatori looked at his phone, he thought,
"It seems some type of martial arts class is required. Eh, I'll worry about all that later. Why would we even need to know how to fight, when we can blow someone's head off with a gust of isotonic force?"
Zenatori picks up the bag and wraps it over his shoulder.
Unexpectedly, the voice of a young boy echoed through the hall.
"Yeah, sure, man, I'll be right there."
In his periphal view, Zenatori sees a boy with two other guys. The boy says while walking through the hallway,
"Right, I'll be looking forward to it. Meet me at 6:00 PM after school."
"Who's he? I guess it doesn't really matter," Zenatori thought.
Even though they were syneji artists, they were still teenagers at the end of the day. Zenatori continues the journey to his dorm room. As he did, he could only think,
"This feels like a game of catch-up, since I'm so behind everyone else. My favorite."
