Soham's calves were burning. He checked the time on his phone : 12pm exactly. 

Pushing a door to reach the outside, he deeply sighed at the endless waiting line of students. His heels swayed to a different direction, towards the cheapest bakery near the university.

"Soham" Who could possibly call him out here ? 

Seems it was this girl of his class who was part of some association "We're having a get together..." She quiet down an instant observing his face then continued "For halloween in two weeks, I just wanted to make sure you know you're invited if you want to"

Soham smiled and politely declined, feeling awkward about her and the bakery cashier oggling his face so much , nevertheless, he ate his sandwich on a law wall, facing a busy parc. 

Faces and trees ; nothing interesting so he read a manga as chewing onto the bread. 

"Isn't that-" A familiar voice seeped in his earphones, Soham glanced up meeting Laure a few meters away. 

His eyes slid next to her, dark blond hair. 

Kai's switched from Laure to Soham, and back to Laure who was staring at Soham.

Laure turned to Kai, she whispered "Did you fight ?" To the confused browns she pointed at Kai's bruised arms "I mean look at his face"

The confusion worsen at the view of all those bruises "...I didn't do all'at" His feet advanced on their own, his moist hand holding firmly Laure's as if to make sure she wouldn't leave.

Soham legs flinched. His face performed surprisement "Hello ?" He responded to the non existent call "Yeah I'm on my way" His jeans grated against the rock.

Kai stopped and exhaled head dropping down "Let's go eat"

Face to face in the restaurant, eating in silence, Laure was scratching her cuticules between each bite. 

Kai's leg was shaking till the point where it bumped in the table.

Because of that, after admiring their plates the whole time, they both gazed at one another. Yet, no words were exchanged apart from goodbyes.

Thereupon Laure went to her nex class only to find a guy standing at the door of the classroom, dark hair and a well known bitter expression. 

She was about to pass him by but this one grabbed her shoulder "Since when you two are back together ?"
