Rare were the times were Soham hid his hostility with Laure, in bounded place or not, as long as Kai wasn't near, the guy was an open and wild book. 

Therefore, laure thought better safe than sorry and dragged him somewhere peaceful behind the university.

"Did he tell the others ?" 

Soham looked on edge which forced Laure to tiptoe. She brushed a palm against its opposite arm "I don't know..."

"So he did" A dry assumption.

Laure nodded slowly.

Soham's lower teeth grinded the upper ones "Why didn't he tell me ?"

Laure figured it out in the middle of a shrug "Maybe..." Her slim eyebrows pinched up "'Cus...I told him what you said at the library ? Or more like, 'cus I said...it was the reason I completely made up my mind" She added in a mumble "or so I thought"

A change of tone "Erm" Soham's chin lowered "Does he..." He scratched his nape with hesitation "Does he hate me for it ?"

"He isn't like that" She blurted out.

Soham's hand dropped "He is...For you he is, Laure"

She sucked in her lips.

"What did he say when you told him that ?"

"He..." She looked up "He didn't say anything, actually"

Soham squatted down in a loud huff. All curled up on himself he could only see dark.

"Are you okay ?" The soft voice asked.

"...." He curled up even more "I won't interfere anymore" His heart was hurting, literally "I'm tired, I don't even know what I was doing till now, but...whatever it is, I give up"

"Soham..." The high pitch tone sounded worried and sorry, once again. 

She crouched and her slim fingers went to his hair, Soham felt a light pressure on his skull and pushed her right away, himself falling on his bottom.

He scowled "The fuck are you doing ?" 

Laure had this expression one makes to a wounded pet "Sorry..."

"Don't ever mention today to Kai" He left as rubbing off the dirt off of him.
