A Story with No Heroes

Today would start no different than any other day. She wakes up from her soft bed with the pounding sensation, a reminder of the night before.

"Damnit, it morning already." Muchi yells aloud, knowing there's no one in her home to hear her. "What time it is?" The girl stumbles out of her bed to crawl on the floor looking for her cell phone. Her hands touch the rough course carpeting of her rental home. As she drags along her room she reaches her outlet where her phone is charging against her wall. She hastily unlocks her phone to see that the current time of day is 0800. "Dang... Mi-Yeon's bar no open for another two hour..." She exclaims reluctantly.

Muchi slowly raises herself off the floor, strugling to get her legs to carry her body up. As she stumbles trying to stand herself up she realizes she isn't fully dressed for the day. She steadily walks her way to the dresser to put on her clothes for the day. However, for Muchi it isn't much of a challenge for her, as she is only familiar with her one set of clothes she always wears on the daily. Her soft pink v-neck short sleeve that Muchi likes to proclaim helps emphasis her supple breasts, with her short cut pants with the white fuzz she states tickles her legs when she first wears them. Her clothes are designed with her tail in mind which is part of why she keeps her shirt so high as not to get in the way. She walks over into the bathroom to run her daily routine of freshening up, including a delicate brushing of her tail. Her tail is known to be Muchi's most delicate part of her body which gets her into a lot of awkward situations when people accidentally grazes her lucious tail. Feeling (somewhat) sober Muchi is now ready to get her day started. Today she only has one goal for herself to achieve and until it's been done she will not be able to return home. She grabs her phone and wallet and locks her home to head out into town. 

The town she walks outside to is a moderate place. Muchi is fortunate enough to live in a nicer area where most of the rentals are affordable and she only has a few neighbors she can sometimes run into. Todays another moderately humid sunny day for Muchi, so there's more people outside than usual. Muchi walks out of her home and starts to walk the sidewalks to get to her destination. She walks by the the high school that's located near her home, not being familiar with the type of place a high school is, she has no reason to care as she's clearly too old to go into one. Muchi see's a dog walking alone on the street running into the park just across the street from the school. Muchi contemplates the idea of going in, but decides she just wants to get her main errands done for the day. Muchi is feeling the full extent of determination to reach her daily goal.

"Oh, Muchi what brings you here?" A familiar voice asks Muchi. Muchi turns to see a familiar face she had not seen in some time. "Are you coming in for more drinks after being here yesterday?" The young girl taunting is the owner of Muchi's go to bar Mi-Yeon's Bar '소주궁' or Soju Palace. She's in her usual outfit with her blue beret and her fancy blue and plaid university uniform. She's a multi colored ferret girl who works this bar, but secretely wants to own a restraunt more than a bar. "You know I don't open for another," Mi-Yeon looks at her phone to look at the time "hour and a half... Don't you have somewhere else to be right now?"

"Why you here so early if you no open for while?" Muchi asks sarcastically.

"It's Monday, I have to do inventory on my products," Mi-Yeon answers, "before you and your friends end up trying to drink it all."

"Well if here already, no harm let me in. I even pay extra if you let me drink early!" Muchi exclaims excitedly.

"I get to do my job and have to put up with you stumbling around at nine in the morning? Yeah no thanks..." Mi-Yeon continues to walkaway to unlock the building door. "Why don't you go do something productive right now, like maybe helping Lass move into her new apartment like you've been promising to do for days now..."

"What point, not like we really have reason for doing such thing." Muchi says under her breath, "Is no anything me can do to get you let me in early? Me promise I not get in way." Muchi gives Mi-Yeon the most innocent eyes she can muster up to her dear friend.

Mi-Yeon sighs thinking of any means to try and get out of this situation. After a moment of thinking Mi-Yeon comes up with something to say to her best customer. "How about this Muchi," She begins, "I know I'm low on some products for the bar. If you can pick them up for me, maybe I would be ok with you coming in early to have a couple drinks. I may even give you a small discount if you succeed in getting all the items I'm needing. That work with you?"

Muchi stands straight ready to follow orders from the young ferret girl. "You give me command Mi-Yeon!" Saluting her bartender with the utmost respect.

"I'll send you a list of items you can pick up at the konbini on the south side of town." Mi-Yeon takes out her phone and starts tapping away as a young college girl of her caliber is capable of. Muchi, astonished at the clicks and clacks of her phone as she works the list for Muchi's most important job today. Muchi's phone dings and with lightning speed she looks over her cell phone to find Mi-Yeon's list. "Remember you need to find all the items to get that discount, understood?"

Without missing a beat Muchi runs off to journey to the south end of town to locate the kobini store, as it's half-way across town and takes at least forty minutes to get there. Mi-Yeon continues to go into her bar finally breathing a sigh of relief to start her work day. Muchi continues to run the streets jumping over cars and avoiding contact with other pedestrians on the streets. 

While she's running she see's a familiar site, the apartment building that her friend Lass was moving into still. She probably would have been fully moved into if Muchi had helped her the day she was originally supposed to help. What would have been a two day process was now moving into four days. Before Muchi could think of her friend any further she realizes she's wasting time she could be using going to the kobini store for Mi-Yeon. She probably wouldn't want to see Muchi right now anyways.

Muchi finally reaches the kobini store, which is a small convenient store for small shopping needs, which is conveniently what Muchi is needing to do right now. Muchi enters the store, the automatic doors slide open and the cool breeze of the A/C shoots the wolf girl in her face giving her a moment of relaxation. She enters the store and looks over her phone to look at the items Mi-Yeon has sent her out for. The list consists of five of the absolute items needed for Muchi's discount and early morning drinking. The items Muchi must attain in the store are as listed:

- 5lbs bag of ice

- Bag of straws

- Bottle of Pineapple juice

- Coconut Rum

- Can of pineapples

Muchi scours the aisles in desperation to accomplish her mission. She finds the pineapples and places them delicately in her shopping basket. She rushes to the reusable utensils and gains the bag of straws, she chooses the striped ones as they are slightly cheaper by ten cents. She rushes over to the freezer section to dig the cold freezers for the bag of ice. As she journeys her way back to the counter she encounters a bottle of pineapple juice, not just any bottle, but the last one in the store. She reaches the register and demands the rum from behind the locked case. The man at the counter with a stern look on his face demands Muchi show him her identification. She scoffs at the trivial task but brings out her identification card, showing the clerk that she was indeed, of age to consume alcohol at the rightful and not embarrassing age of twenty-three. Not surprised the clerk grabs the holy drink, finishing Muchi's mission.

"That will be fifty-three for your items today." The clerk says with no interest in Muchi's success.

Muchi takes out her wallet only to discover a problem. "She no give me money to buy stuff..." She says under her breath. Pathetically Muchi looks back at the clerk, "I no have money to buy things."

In an awkward moment of silence, Muchi slowly walks out of the store, back to the humid air as the sliding doors slowly shut behind her. Her mission had come to a collosal fail, she will not be able to get her alcohol early today, and what's worse, not discounted. Muchi walks away from the store slowly dragging her feet as she pathetically goes back to Mi-Yeon.

On her way back she see's a moving truck in front of the apartment building her friend Lass was moving into. Muchi thinks to go over to at least say hi to her friend, but she hesitates and decides to continue walking away. "She no want see me." Muchi says to herself, "I not reliable, me not have anything to give." As she walks away she see's her friend walking out of the truck opening up the back to see a collection of boxes. Her friend a red head who keeps her hair tucked away in her blue hat. She wears her usual blue v-neck shirt and long black skirt. She turns around as if she felt someone watching her. Her dark brown eyes turn to see who had been watching her, but behind her was no Muchi, she had already ran away from her friend to return from her failed mission.

Outside Mi-Yeon's bar Muchi knocks on the door to catch the attention of the owner. The door opens slowly as Mi-Yeon lets the sad and defeated wolf girl into her bar. "Me sorry Mi-Yeon, I no get the items you ask for." Muchi pathetically whimpers to her hire. 

Mi-Yeon smiles at the pathetic hero and brings her into the bar. She sits her down on the usual stool by the bar, closest to the register to allow Muchi to talk with Mi-Yeon throughout the shift. "It's alright, I didn't give you the money to buy any of it anyways." The ferret girl tells her, "But luckily we opened up ten minutes ago." Muchi whips out her phone to see that it was now 1010. "I figured by the time you went to the store and came back I would be ready for business." Astonished by the clever ferret girls trick Muchi is left speechless. "Give me just a moment and I can get your usual for you ok?"

Muchi slouches down on her familiar bar waiting for her drink to arrive. "My day can finally start." Muchi says gently, "My only purpose in this world..."

Muchi is a young mischievous Kemonomimi girl with no speacial qualities about her. She's not well versed and often comes off as being stupid. Since she lacks any knowledge of where she comes from she doesn't have anything to look back on, or anything to reflect on leaving her in a depressive state of feeling alone and useless. She's a girl with nowhere to go and nothing to look forward to.
