Last in the lineup for this round of combatants is the silver-tongued legendary lute master, Pavocinis! For this special entry, Pavo is pictured after the main time skip in “Of Lowlifes, Lutes, & Liars,” following the cataclysmic events that transformed Old Sarzonn from bustling thoroughfare to a shadow of its former glory.
**It seemed unfair to pit a seven-year-old against his elder competitors, so here he is in fighting form. That said, the following contains a few hints and light spoilers on Pavo’s abilities and background for early readers of “Lowlifes” to enjoy.**
Pavocinis had a hard life as a wild magician on the streets of Old Sarzonn until he was saved and healed repeatedly by his elder siblings, Aranthus and Khazmine. With the help of the Augment, Marquis Banebury, Pavo survived a near-fatal shattering of his ether core, only to emerge stronger than ever.
Now old enough to hold his own in a fight, Pavo specializes in support magic to boost his colleagues’ abilities and damper opponents in battle. Pavo’s ether can befuddle, confuse, and occasionally control opponents, making them much easier to handle by his teammates.
Only a foolish warrior would single the musician out as an easy target though, as Pavo will lean on powerful and destructive red ether spikes when provoked. This magic is potent enough to skewer a charging raddilbak, so extreme caution should be taken before angering the wild magician. For as damaging as his spikes are, Pavo has little control over them once his energy peaks, so riling him is a dangerous prospect for anyone in striking distance.
In addition to being a skilled musician, Pavocinis has many abilities, including; mastery of Illusion magic (creating illusions around himself and others), basic Deceiver magic (appearance alteration), disarming charisma (charm, befuddlement, friend of creatures), red ether spike mastery, wild magic, and more…
Readers will join Pavo and his siblings in the future time skip around Chapter 50, so this is a sneak preview to hold dedicated readers over until then. As always, thank you so much for your continued support, and I’ll see you in the comments.
