The Villain’s Rage
The episode opens with the Villain standing ominously, the knife still in his hand, as he reveals the devastating truth: “Do you know who was the driver? It was your father.”
Seo-yeon and Seok-ho freeze in shock. The weight of the words is too much to bear. Seo-yeon's eyes well up with tears as she steps forward, her voice trembling. “I... I’m so sorry,” she says sincerely, her words full of regret. “Please, I apologize for what my father did to you.”
The Villain sneers, a bitter laugh escaping him. “Apologies? Do you really think that’ll heal the wounds I’ve carried my whole life? Do you think that’s enough to undo the pain?” His voice cracks with raw emotion. “The first thing I did after waking up from my coma was to find your father. But by the time I got his details, he had already fled to Europe. And that’s when the anger started. The pain turned into something else. I wanted to make him feel the same agony I felt. But all of you were in Europe, so I had to wait for the right moment.”
His eyes harden as he continues, “I wanted to destroy everyone your father cares about. But when I found out you were still in Korea, I knew my time had come.”
Seok-ho and Seo-yeon, both desperate to understand his pain, continue pleading with him. “Please, we can help you. We’ll do whatever it takes to stop this,” Seok-ho says, trying to reach the man before him.
But the Villain laughs bitterly, shaking his head. “You think I care about your pity? Do you know who tried to stab you in front of the supermarket that day? That was me. Do you know who convinced your former employee to try to kill you? That was me. Do you know who orchestrated the car accident that nearly killed you? Me.” His voice is filled with venom as he steps closer to Seo-yeon, his eyes burning with unrelenting anger. “All of it was me, and now... now I will take my revenge.”
The Secretary’s Realization
Meanwhile, Seo-yeon’s secretary, who had been silently observing the unfolding events, begins to piece together the danger they’re all in. She remembers the moments when she saw Seok-ho's car being followed, the fights, and the eerie presence of the Villain in the background. Fear sets in as she realizes the magnitude of the situation.
She picks up her phone and frantically dials Seo-yeon’s father’s number. The camera shifts to a flashback, showing how the secretary ended up in Seok-ho's car earlier during the chase. She had been trying to gather information on the Villain, but witnessing the danger firsthand was too much to handle.
Her voice shakes as she speaks to Seo-yeon’s father, urgently explaining everything she had seen—the attempts on Seo-yeon’s life, the Villain’s obsession, and his plans for revenge. “You need to come back to Korea. It’s not safe for her,” the secretary warns, the gravity of the situation clear in her tone.
The Father’s Guilt
In a distant location, Seo-yeon’s father, having received the call, reacts with a deep sense of guilt and dread. The weight of his past actions presses down on him, and he feels responsible for putting his daughter in harm’s way. His expression is one of agony as he stares at the phone, the pieces of the puzzle falling into place.
He immediately orders his assistant to arrange a flight back to Korea as quickly as possible, pushing aside all other matters in his panic to protect his daughter. He knows that the only way to stop this madness is to face the past, no matter the cost. “I will fix this. I have to fix this,” he mutters, his determination growing as he rushes to the airport.
A Tense Showdown
Back at the scene, Seok-ho and Seo-yeon are still in the grip of the Villain’s fury. As he rants, the tension in the air grows thicker. Seo-yeon clutches Seok-ho’s arm, silently pleading with him to keep trying to calm the situation.
Suddenly, the Villain’s expression darkens further. He turns to Seo-yeon, his movements erratic and his grip on the knife tightening. His rage is boiling over, and it’s clear he’s losing control.
Seok-ho senses the imminent danger. Without hesitation, he steps forward, positioning himself between Seo-yeon and the Villain. His protective instincts are in full force, and his gaze locks with Seo-yeon’s for a fleeting moment. They exchange an unspoken understanding: this might be the breaking point.
The Villain, consumed by his anger, raises the knife again. Seok-ho tenses, ready to act, knowing there’s no turning back now. Seo-yeon’s terrified face and Seok-ho’s determined expression. The Villain’s hand wavers for a moment before he lunges forward.
