The Hero's Sacrifice
The episode begins with a close-up of Seok-ho’s face, eyes locked onto the Villain in front of him. The camera slowly pulls back to reveal that Seok-ho has taken the knife meant for Seo-yeon, sacrificing himself for her. The Villain's expression shifts to shock as the blade plunges into Seok-ho.
Seo-yeon, stunned and horrified, watches as her protector falls, blood staining his shirt. The Villain, seeing the depth of Seok-ho’s love and sacrifice, falters in his rage. His eyes flicker with confusion and regret, as the truth of Seok-ho’s devotion sinks in.
As Seo-yeon screams and sobs, the Villain is momentarily paralyzed by the emotion in front of him. He sees the love in Seok-ho’s eyes, and for the first time, he questions his own actions. The police sirens in the distance add a sense of urgency.
Seok-ho weakly tells the Villain, “Run. You have to run, or you’ll be caught.” The Villain, momentarily lost in his emotions, hesitates. Seo-yeon’s secretary, sensing the danger, rushes in and helps Seo-yeon untie herself, giving her the chance to move toward Seok-ho.
As Seok-ho collapses in her arms, Seo-yeon’s tears blur her vision as she cradles him, desperate not to lose him. She screams his name as he begins to lose consciousness, his hand slipping from hers.
In the Hospital
Seok-ho is rushed to the hospital where he undergoes emergency surgery. Seo-yeon, exhausted from her tears and worry, sits on a stool by his bed, her head resting on the edge of the bed. She looks worn out, but the fear of losing him still grips her heart.
A few moments later, Seo-yeon’s father arrives at the hospital, his face filled with guilt and anguish. He speaks with Seo-yeon’s secretary, who fills him in on everything that happened, explaining how Seok-ho had sacrificed himself to protect his daughter.
When Seo-yeon’s father enters Seok-ho’s room, he is taken aback by the sight of his daughter still holding Seok-ho’s hand. Seeing the depth of their bond, he feels a heavy weight of responsibility on his shoulders. He touches Seo-yeon's shoulder gently, waking her from her exhausted state.
Confrontation Between Father and Daughter
After waking up, Seo-yeon is filled with anger and pain. She stands up abruptly, pulling her father into a quiet room for an intense conversation. “You’re the reason this all happened,” she accuses, her voice trembling with emotion. “If it weren’t for your past, none of this would have happened! Look at him! Look at what you’ve done.”
Her father, crushed by his daughter’s words, can only say, “I’m sorry. I never wanted any of this.”
“But it’s not enough,” Seo-yeon snaps. “You need to apologize to him—the Villain. Do you understand the pain you’ve caused him and his family? Do you know what he’s been through?”
Seo-yeon’s father, realizing the depth of the damage caused by his actions, agrees to confront the Villain in person and ask for forgiveness. He knows it’s the only way to make things right.
The Father Faces the Villain
Seo-yeon’s father eventually tracks down the Villain. When he finds him, the Villain is furious, his emotions boiling over. He is ready to strike and punish the man responsible for his torment. But before the Villain can lash out, Seo-yeon’s father pleads, “I’m begging you. I know I can never undo the pain I’ve caused. But please, don’t hurt my daughter. Don’t hurt anyone else because of me. You can do whatever you want to me, but please, leave her alone.”
The Villain is overcome with a mix of emotions, anger, sorrow, and confusion. He screams, his voice breaking as tears fall. “Why? Why couldn’t she be mine?” The Villain crumples, the burden of his loss overwhelming him.
The Villain storms off, but not before giving Seo-yeon’s father a final look, one filled with sorrow and the desire for closure. Seo-yeon’s father is left standing, knowing that his actions have forever changed the lives of everyone involved.
The Hero’s Recovery and Confession
When Seo-yeon returns to Seok-ho’s room, she finds it empty. Panicked, she rushes to the hospital staff, who tell her that Seok-ho is outside getting some fresh air.
Seo-yeon hurries to find him, and she spots him sitting in a wheelchair, gazing off into the distance. As she approaches, her eyes well up with tears, and she rushes to him.
"I'm so sorry," she whispers, hugging him tightly. Seok-ho winces in pain but smiles softly at her, his hand still weakly holding hers.
“Don’t apologize,” he murmurs. “I’d do it again... for you.”
Seo-yeon pulls back, surprised by his words, but Seok-ho looks up at her and, with a tender smile, pulls her into his lap.
“Be with me, forever,” he says, his voice full of longing and love.
Caught off guard by his words, Seo-yeon’s eyes widen. Then, without thinking, she kisses him, tears streaming down her face. The love between them is undeniable, a quiet promise of forever.
Their intimate moment doesn’t go unnoticed, as Seo-yeon’s father and the staff of the hospital watch from a distance. Seo-yeon’s father, seeing the bond between the two, finally accepts that his daughter’s happiness lies with Seok-ho.
Later, Seo-yeon’s father goes to speak with Seok-ho, where he asks for forgiveness for all his past wrongs. He tells Seok-ho to take care of his daughter, and with a final goodbye, he leaves them both.
The Villain's Last Goodbye
In a quiet cemetery, the Villain visits the grave of his lost love for the first time since her death. Unable to bear seeing her grave before, he now lies beside it, talking to her as though she were still alive.
As he lies there, overcome with grief and regret, the Villain ultimately succumbs to his own pain. He dies beside the grave of the woman he loved so deeply, unable to live with the guilt and sorrow he carried for so long.
The Villain’s mother arrives soon after, only to find him dead. She cries, realizing that his love for her daughter, and his regret, led him to end his life. The truth of his devotion finally becomes clear to her, and she mourns the loss of both her daughter and the man who loved her.
A New Beginning
One month later, Seok-ho and Seo-yeon are a couple, their relationship now public. They walk through the halls of the company, enjoying each other’s company in a peaceful, normal day.
Seok-ho begins focusing on his boxing career, training harder than ever to pursue his dreams.
In the final moments of the episode, Seok-ho and Seo-yeon take a romantic walk at night. Under the soft glow of the streetlights, Seok-ho suddenly kneels, holding out a ring.
Tears fill Seo-yeon’s eyes as she gasps, and with a joyful leap, she accepts, “Yes!” She jumps into his arms, and the camera pulls back, showing the couple in an embrace, sharing a kiss as the screen fades to black.
