英 (yīng): pronounced like the word “wing”, but with a "y" instead of a "w"
Yang is his surname, and Ying is his first name. With Chinese names, people with one-word first names (as opposed to two) are called with their full name instead of just their first name.
P.S. As far as I know, shushing a cat doesn’t actually stop them from meowing, but let's all just collectively agree to look past that…
