“What is this fake shit”
Argued the seller with an angered and annoyed voice, ready to punch Geto, right before biting on it with his tooth to check its authenticity, and to his surprise, it was actual gold. This fact made him change his expression and attitude after a quick second. This showed Geto, that the respect of the “modern people” towards strangers, is very low, because of the greed inside their hearts, but he really hoped that not all of them were like this, he still had his hopes up.
“IT’S REAL!”
Whispered the seller loudly, with his eyes shining with greed and excitement, immediately placing the coin in his pocket, closing the zipper on it, and looked around to see if anyone else saw the golden coin he was handed, that would let him live like a king for the next week
“Thank you goood sir, have a wonderful day!”
Smiled the seller loudly, with a shaky voice, bowing his hat down, showing his crooked teeth and a bunch of painted gold and metal teeth.
Geto smiled back and went on his way, while munching the last remaining of the hotdog.
Exploring the unknown sunny city, like it was the first time of a foreigner tourist to look around a new surrounding, Geto was amazed by even the clothing of each person, man or woman; The combinations of colors, the styles of hair and even the accessories that were very close to look just like his metal piece, stuck to a thin, leather rope. In the new surroundings, it was even hard to move freely. For some reason, thought by Geto’s mind, which was more of a question
“There are so many people here, incredible. Not even when the forth Ludunu King did the yearly festivals, there weren’t this many people. Maybe all of these people are doing tasks for their King, I wonder…”
The entire street looked like it was packed up just like a party inside a metallic and widely opened sardines box, and they were the food.
Looking left, right, in front and behind him, Geto realized that these “modern people” had a tradition to all look at their phones, scrolling, talking or just reading something from it, which he found very sad, but tradition is tradition, right, Geto?
The high buildings seemed so scary, and dominant, but yet so beautiful, something about it… it’s just… maybe the symmetrical shapes, the way it shows itself, not moving or anything, but it just stands there, in one place, and it can still catch the eyes of many, so interesting.
Wandering his eyes for a little too long, Geto didn’t see the warning tapes surrounding an opened sewer canal. He walked right inside the tape, barely feeling it’s touch on his clothing, and fell right inside the large canal that led to the moving water system of the city.
“Huuah!”
He fell directly into the water, splashing the wet and moldy brick-walls around him, surrounding the ceiling in a half-circle form.
The whole place was dark, and nasty. Geto even swallowed a large amount of that water, feeling sick for the entire ride in the water-underground “carousel”.
The entire thing was bumpy and cold. Geto actually hit every corner and turn that the tunnel took, with his entire body.
The scene changes to the outside, with the camera following Geto’s movement for a few more minutes, where we could clearly hear Geto’s loud yells whenever he would hit a corner.
Finally finding a ladder, Geto climbed it, and arrived at the other side of the city, all exhausted, smelling of farts and covered in sea weeds (from where? I don’t know either).
“Damn you! Underground secret path!”
Shouted Geto, cursing the entrance of the opened sewer, with the cap laid right next to it, with warning bands put around it just like at the first opened sewer.
He passed an ignored man on the streets, sat down on the ground, extending his hand in a bowl shape, with an upset look on his face.
—
There was a hungry man on the streets with messed up and dusty clothes, looking close to how Geto was, so he offered him his hotdog. Seeing that the people were walking near him, even if he needed help, Geto knew that the man’s place was way more unfortunate than his, so he offered his hotdog.
After that, in the same corner of the street, the same dark alley with low opacity lighting and a dead end, eight hooligans whose faces couldn’t be seen, have cornered him, Ordering Geto so that he gives all his valuables. Geto wouldn’t let that slide, so he took out his sword, showcasing it like he would challenge the hooligans.
Even after seeing the sword, they all charged out on him, which purely amazed Geto, so he quickly switched to a more defensive side. Using a few moves that looked like dancing moves for dodging, and his toque for offense, not wanting to lethally injure them, Geto wanted to see what those people were worth, but they proved that they were no match for Geto, because Geto won, and won easily.
The “fight” took less than five minutes, and while that was occurring, the old man sitting down at the corner, quickly raised himself after every single person taken down, put to his feet in sign of respect. His eyebrows raised with shock and he slowly asked Geto, after the hooligans disappeared from the alley.
“A-Are you… from the Heroism army?”
Geto placed the toque back in its place, letting it slowly shut close.
“YES! FINALLY! YES I AM! Do you know where are Torick and the others?”
Asked Geto with a small remaining spark inside his eyes, hoping that he would find the answer to his question, which would ultimately maybe help him get to his world.
“I-I knew it… from the path from your sword handle, and your movements. As a kicked out history teacher, I know all this, and I know that your place it not here”
Continued the old man, doing some sketches and shapes in the air, with his fingers.
“Did we win? Did we?”
Geto couldn’t wait for his question to be answered. He was too energetic to wait for the man’s slow-motion voice to finish the sentence.
The old man scoffed and dropped himself back on the ground near a pile of trash and a dirty cardboard box that was one with the ground.
Covering himself with his coat, the man pointed at Geto, then his eyes were slowly closing, and in the same moment, he slowly lowered his head.
“Y-y-...mmmm”
Mumbled the old man in his dreams, already asleep.
Narrowing his eyes, finding this situation awkward, not understanding if he was ignored or if the old man actually fell asleep. He approached his face, close to the man’s eyes, to see if he actually was sleeping, and he was.
“H-hey… (did he fall asleep)?”
Geto placed his work and filled it with calluses, and shook the man, and even shouted at him in a friendly way, but the old man was still sleeping, which actually amazed Geto, not understanding how tired could the old man be, so that he would just fall into his thoughts like that.
“Arghh… dang it!”
Sighted Geto, thanking the old man, and then leaving the alley afterwards.
He went a few more minutes until he stopped himself in front of a market, sitting around two meters away from the entrance, where the light from the market was barely lighting his spot in a pale-white glim.
Outside of the supermarket, passing the automatic sliding doors, that let out a small bling sound, there came a goddess inside Geto’s eyes. A woman around the same height as him, short hair, bright purple eyes, and a pointy nose that is curving upwards.
“Rough day?”
Asked the girl, sitting down right next to Geto, on a slightly highered concrete placement, two meters away from the store.
“Rougher than ever”
Continued Geto, with sorrowness inside his eyes, looking towards the girl with a shocked reaction on his face, like he was charmed by her eyes.
She reached for her bag, searching for something that she wanted to offer as a gift towards Geto.
“Here”
She said, with a bright smile on her face, giving Geto a friendly look, handing a warm sandwich that had a paper-thin case around it.
“That’s sweet, lady, thank you”
Said Geto, looking at the sandwich from his hand for a few seconds, then going back to a stare into the ground, zoning out for a quick period of time.
The woman introduced herself as Mizu, and Geto introduced himself back, with his own entire name.
“You know you stink, right?”
Asked the girl, trying not to laugh while looking at his whole body, checking him out, then focusing on his eyes while taking a bite from her own warm sandwich.
“I fell into an underground passage that had stinky and salty water”
Replied Geto, changing his sight towards the girl.
The girl started laughing out loud, which made Geto slightly give out a small smirk on his expression.
“I also fought some people that tried to rob me, and I was into a war… the war! Do you know something about the BloodBed war?”
“The BloodBed war… wasn’t that the one from like 300 years ago, in the year 1700, where the Heroism army fought?”
“That’s it, exactly”
Excitedly continued Geto, pointing both of his index fingers towards the girl
“You’re not from around here, right, maybe a foreigner?”
Asked the girl, taking a bigger bite from her sandwich, giving Geto a judging look
“I just told you, I just appeared in this world of yours, I’m from the BloodBed war”
Geto took out his glass sword and showed it to the girl
“Look”
Passing it to her, the girl quickly placed the sandwich down and analyzed the sword from start to finish
Geto also showed the girl, his pouch filled with thick golden coins, that took out loud moving-metal sounds.
“Who was your leader in the war?”
Slowly asked the girl, as her eyes widened towards Geto’s looks
“Torick Shieldel, the bravest of them all”
“Wait… so you have an authentic sword, your leader is also the original leader from the anthique manuscripts, and your clothes are all dirty with bright-orange dust… the cliffs, where the last war was set… YOU’RE REALLY FROM THE WAR!”
“Thank you, lady, finally someone can help me”
Said Geto, exhausted by the situation, as life and hope slowly settles in, growing by the second
“Come with me! I'm Mizu, by the way (smiles)"
Said the girl, grabbing Geto by his hand, dragging him through the crowded streets.
“W-wait, where are you taking me?”
Asked Geto, left in awe by the situation, not understanding where he is being taken
“If your story is really true, and it’s not just me believing that you are cosplaying, then you are a true specimen!”
Shouted the girl with a bright smile on her face, with her eyes filled with excitement and joy
The street was so crowded that Geto literally felt like he was dragged between a room filled with thick seaweed.
The girl invited him inside her apartment. A small and modest place. The inside of the apartment didn’t have anything worth mentioning.
“Come on, you go into the shower, right now”
Laughed the girl, pushing Geto towards her bathroom
He went into the stand-shower cabin and undressed on the girl’s commands.
“What are you doing woman, are you sure this is how I get clean?”
“Yes!”
After more minutes the woman helping Geto passed, and Geto came out smelling clean.
With a new pair of clothes, Geto was invited, again, to the living room, where the woman had her laptop open on a tab.
“What is this! MY SWORD! WHERE IS IT!”
Shouted Geto, thinking that the laptop was a monster of light
“Calm down, calm down (chuckles), this is only a device. I’ll tell you everything after I show you this”
The opened tab was on the BloodBed war, which, in an article, it showed that the entire Heroism army had their lives ended after an outnumbering in troupes
“Nobody survived in that war…”
Said Mizu, upsetly, looking at Geto that had a neutral look on his face, not understanding how to react to the situation; He sat down on the sofa, overthinking
“But I’m here, with you, Mizu, how is that possible, I should be dead”
“Don’t stress yourself over it. Until we find more information about your situation… you can stay here with me. You don’t have a place to crash, am I right?”
“To crash…?”
“To stay... you're really weird, you know that?"
Said Mizu, smilingly, with admiration in her eyes, towards Geto
Geto nodded, then waved his head sideways.
She chuckled and approached him, pointing her out for a handshake
“With one condition. You have to help me with my family business, daily!”
Geto gave out a quick smirk and accepted the handshake.
“That is fine with me, Mizu, thank you”
While their hands were moving up and down, closing the pact, Mizu gave out a loud smile on her face, excited about her new roommate.
