A few hours later, Stera wakes up on solid ground. She struggle to stand due to a mixture of exhaustion and her injuries from the fight. As soon as she is able to stand, Stera searches and eventually finds Tyrannos. Stera wakes up Tyrannos before noticing an orange mass nearby. Tyrannos is barely able to stand but as soon as he does, he also notices the orange mass. They get closer to it and realize that the orange mass was Leonne. Leonne is unconscious for much longer than Tyrannos or Stera due to the water weakening the fire element Cyberbeast. Knowing the threat he poses, Stera uses her vines to tie up Leonne. Tyrannos decides to keep a close eye on Leonne while Stera tries to find a way out of the ravine.

A few seconds later, Leonne wakes up to find himself bound by some vines. Leonne tries to burn the vines but his fire powers are still too weak due to the water. Before Leonne could try something else, Tyrannos turns his tail into a blade of ice and points it at Leonne's neck. He knew right away what the tyrannosaur was telling him. If he tries anything, Leonne would end up with a blade through his neck. Leonne stops struggling and lies there, unable to do anything. While this is happening, Stera manages to find a cave. She doesn't know if it leads to the surface but it might be their best bet. Stera calls to Tyrannos and shows him the cave entrance. It would seem they have found a way out of the ravine but that leaves the subject of what to do with Leonne.

As Tyrannos and Stera ponder on what to do with Leonne, Leonne can't help but think of his own family. He thinks to the pride he once watched over and his mate and cubs that where part of the pride. Before he could continue to reminisce, Leonne feels the vines snap as Tyrannos cuts them one by one. Leonne has a hard time trying to understand why Tyrannos freed him from the binds until he sees Stera approach the lion. Stera points towards the cave and lets him know that the cave might lead them out of the ravine. Leonne, knowing he doesn't have any options, chuffs and agrees to form a temporary alliance with Tyrannos and Stera. With everyone in agreement, Stera decides to lead the way while Tyrannos keeps a close eye one Leonne.

 As the trio approach the cave, Leonne can't help but wonder why a pair of Carcharovoltus was following the herd. Where they looking for an opportunity to strike at members that stray from the herd? Where they simply following the herds migratory pattern or did they sense that a lone lion would be easy pickings? Could aligning himself with Tyrannos and Stera prove beneficial? Leonne puts these thoughts on the back of his mind as the trio get closer to the cave. The trio enter the cave in hopes of finding a way to the surface.
