One of the most deadly animals in the world might not be what you'd expect.
They're the freshwater snail more specifically, and they lead to 20,000 to 200,000 deaths a year. Though it seems a bit unfair to put all the blame on them since it's more the parasite they carry that kills than the snail itself.
