It started raining quickly, but the two men had already made it back to the apartment.
For Sergio’s comfort, Lucas switched off the bedroom lights. The dim glow from the streetlights outside filtered through the curtains, casting shadows across the room. Standing by the bed, they faced each other in silence. Sergio’s shoulders were slightly tense, and he discreetly wiped his sweaty palms on his new pants. Lucas, sensing his unease, smiled gently and sat down on the edge of the bed, reaching for Sergio’s hands.
“Do you want to do this?” he asked, his voice sounding firm but calm.
The custodian lowered his head, locking eyes with him. In Lucas’s gaze, he saw with desire and respect, a tenderness that gave him the courage to respond after a brief pause.
“Yes,” he said quietly. “I want you to see me.”
Lucas smiled again, releasing his hands slowly, giving Sergio the space and time to decide.
With a deep breath, the custodian untied the ribbon holding back his hair, letting it fall loosely around his face. He began unbuttoning his shirt, his fingers trembling slightly. As the fabric slipped from his shoulders, he reminded himself there was no reason to fear showing his true self to Lucas. He turned around, revealing his back and arms, where scars from cuts, lashes, burns, and other marks of past abuse stood out against his pale skin.
Lucas froze for a moment, stunned by the sight before him. He took a deep breath, stood from the bed, and gently placed his hands on Sergio’s shoulders. Slowly, he began tracing the scars with his fingers, his touch soft and deliberate. Then, without hesitation, he leaned down and kissed the marks one by one.
Sergio blushed, unsure of how to react. He could feel the tenderness in Lucas’s every touch, which began to ease his nerves. For the first time, he realized that this vulnerability didn’t make him weak. Lucas’s lips trailed from his shoulders to the nape of his neck, lingering there before moving to his hair. The professor rested his forehead against Sergio’s head, breathing him in.
Lucas stepped back briefly to remove his jacket and shirt, revealing his toned chest and a small dragon tattoo on his left arm —the same design Sergio had drawn. He had recently gotten it as a symbolic decision inspired by his love.
He drew Sergio closer, wrapping him in a back embrace until he could feel his warmth. Both men’s breaths deepened slightly. The professor whispered into his ear, seeking consent.
“Do you want to continue?”
Sergio turned fully to face him, taking in Lucas’s shirtless form. The professor was undeniably attractive, exuding a beauty that couldn’t be ignored. Noticing the tattoo for the first time, Sergio, with some shyness, looked down and asked in astonishment.
“Is that… the d-dragon I drew?!” he asked, his voice tinged with awe. “Y-YOU GOT IT TATTOOED?! That’s such a big decision! Why would you do that?”
Lucas knew this was significant. If their relationship didn’t work, removing it could also be difficult. He smiled, understanding the weight of Sergio’s question. “It has a few meanings,” he explained, his voice calm, deliberate. “For me, it’s about preserving memories —the good ones. It’s a reminder of strength, of being more authentic. And it’s because of you.”
Sergio smiled faintly, his heart swelling with emotion. He never imagined that someone like Lucas would make such a gesture for him.
The professor leaned closer, his voice soft as he asked again, “Do you want to continue?”
The custodian met his gaze, his expression steady. “You’ve seen me as I am,” he said quietly.
“And I love it,” Lucas replied, without looking away.
Sergio placed his hands on Lucas’s arms, pulling him closer. “I wouldn’t hesitate to be with you,” he murmured, before gently cupping his face and pressing his lips to his.
Their passion deepened. The hands of both men carefully and respectfully explored each other's bodies, as if every inch of the other was an uncharted world.
Though Sergio was still shy, instinctively covering himself with his hands, Lucas’s gentle caresses reassured him. Bit by bit, Sergio allowed himself to let go, his trust in his partner overwhelming his hesitation.
Looking into Lucas’s eyes, Sergio’s voice trembled as he spoke. “I don’t know what to expect from this, but when I’m with you… I feel great. Like I can do anything.”
“Then don’t doubt it,” Lucas replied, his voice low and soothing, sending a shiver through Sergio.
The freckled man kissed him again, his movements tender and unhurried. His touch, unlike Lucas’s, was soft and exploratory, but it drove the professor wild. This was a quiet love, one that needed no words. They embraced each other as though they could never be separated.
They lay down together on the bed, their kisses growing more passionate, their hands roaming one another’s bodies with reverence. Time seemed to stand still as they became lost in each other, their breaths intertwining in a rhythm of their own —playing with their tongues, with each unrestrained kiss.
Lucas cradled Sergio’s face in his hands, his fingers trailing down his arms and across his torso, memorizing every inch of his partner’s body. Sergio, in turn, allowed his own hands to explore Lucas’s well-toned torso, pressing gently as if committing every detail to memory —every muscle he might have imagined at some point before this moment.
They looked at each other. Lucas, sensing Sergio’s breath, let his hands slide down to his waist, pulling him even closer. The freckled man gazed at him with madness and desire, as if the moment had engulfed him in a wave of emotion.
The professor, sensing his hesitation, whispered softly, “If you don’t like it, just tell me, and I’ll stop.”
Sergio smiled, his cheeks flushing. “I want to be with you,” he said, wrapping his arms around Lucas’s neck and pulling him closer. Their bodies came together naturally, like pieces of a puzzle finally finding their place.
