i just love the richly colorful, scratchy-scribble style. it’s like the drawings have been shaped + pulled out of the page in the way that a sculpture is chiseled + carved out from a block of wood.
Although technically it’s more the reverse — figures + pictures put together out of shapes of color, built up onto the page in layers of the medium, whereas a carving picks away the medium until the form inside takes shape, like pulling hardened dirt off a crusted fossil.
….Regardless of technicalities, the art feels *tangible*. i’m such a sucker for textured art.

The Fantasy Peter has shown him was way more than he could imagine.
Yet the bigger and more realistic the dream - the more of a nightmare it becomes.
There is a change in everyone and everything.
The sweetly smelling air became heavy.
His friends become more agitated.
Peter is weirdly distant.
And Pirates are more daring.
Change came from them?
Why since the Darlings came along everything feels like a ticking bomb?
How bloody will it be when the time finally runs out?
